Case after case has shown Republicans gerrymander everything they get their hands on to a degree that is never seen before. Cheating is their way of life now. Nothing else works for them.

Except for the FACT that in State after State the FEDERAL Government ORDERED radically gerrymandered districts just for black control. And 12 and 1 are where they came from in North Carolina. Further the fact remains that until the Republicans took over North Carolina in the or around 2008 or so the DEMOCRATS maintained supported and defended those districts.

Gerrymandering is something done by both parties. The worst case of gerrymandering I've ever seen involved Corrine Browns Congressional District 5 before the Supreme Court abolished it. The law mandates that a Congressional District be composed of contiguous land, basically a single compact land mass not a combination of unconnected separate lands. In Brown's former district, in order to insure that a Black candidate was elected a map was drawn whereby a number of Black communities scattered all over North Florida were connected by very narrow parcels of land, sometimes no more than a road. Democrats thought this somehow made these scattered and distant communities contiguous. Fortunately, the Supreme Court disagreed.
