If the ACA is law, and everyone's supposed to be enrolled in it, why accoridng to CNN last night is just 3.3M Americans so far enrolled? That's a smigden over 1%. That doesn't seem like very many.

civil disobedience, what also interesting, claiming enrollment numbers reflect acceptance, when its mandated, way to funny!

Let's see...pay for health insurance I'll never use at $13,000 per year...or pay a $95.00 tax....

tough decision....

Many people do not believe govt has this authority, so the bill is unconstitution and awaiting revocation, reform or revision, replacement, or the addition or promotion of other options.

There is room for exemptions and also state innovations.

Instead of actively setting up these reforms, people on both sides are waiting for the system to crash given its faults. There is vocal opposition from both Singlepayer Advocates and Free Market advocates, both against the hybrid law injecting corporate insurance in between people and government.

The problem is the opponents on left and right do not agree what to change it to.

So everyone is waiting for someone else to fix it, In the meantime no one can afford to join unless they are getting more from it than they are paying. So the people signing up are not the ones who are going to pay for it; the people who are going to pay for it, are not going to sign up but wait for the conflicts with it to be fully addressed.

It's a really bad game of chicken going on, to see who gets smashed in the collision.

Note, it's not just a 95.00 tax. it goes up, like a certain % of your income, whichever is HIGHER. and it goes up every year. the first year is low to get people to play along until it is too late.

the whole thing should be optional. If it is not proven to work, and to provide health care instead of just insurance which doesn't guarantee coverage or guarantee people can afford to pay their deductibles, premiums or copays, then it is FAITH BASED.

Liberals jump on Christians for pushing faith based agenda without proof they believe.
And the President just railroaded this through govt, that some people believe, but most
do not. How is this not a violation of religious freedom to fund other altneratives without being financially penalized by government and forced to pay for insurance?

With the same money it costs to buy insurance, people could sooner invest in building charity hospitals and medical teaching programs to offer health care directly at low cost.

Why wasn't that option "experimented with" to see if it works better than insurance?

Instead this was forced on people by law, without proving it first, and while penalizing any other choices except regulated under these mandates and administration.

Total goes against Constitutional concepts, human nature, and common sense.

If it saves some lives in the meantime due to emergency insurance coverage, the advocates of this bill could have paid for that voluntarily using the millions of dollars to lobby for ACA.
that doesn't require passing a bill to cover, they have no problem raising billions of dollars for political campaigns, so they could have directed those resources to paying for health care costs or longterm programs if they really believed in sustainable universal coverage.

ACA is not a health insurance, its a Law. Everyone in the country WITH insurance is far more than 3. Whatever million.

Its just that only 3. Whatever million have bought their insurqnce off the exchange. That doesnt mean the rest dont have insurance.

Clear it up for ya?

No worries, the assholes that passed it and the asshole that signed it into law don't understand it either......

Three million is far, far less than the more than 30 million that Obiecare was supposed to be insuring. It is certainly fewer enrolees than it needs to stay afloat.

The crash of that scam is going to make Madaoff look like a piker.

Everyone is not supposed to buy from the exchange.

True enough, but ................. there won't be enough to get this turd to fly

The exchange isn't somewhere you go to purchase Government insurance.

It's an exchange of private health insurance companies.

They're already flying, they didn't need the ACA to go into Business.

99% of the people in this thread have inadvertently admitted that they have been misinformed, and are complaining about things that aren't even true.

See how and why the Country is so divided? People are purposefully misled about what the other people think, or do.

It's a dumb as fuck game.

Umm, you know that far more than 3 million became insured because of Obama care based on raising the dependent coverage age to 26 alone, right?

You know that the 3 million doesn't include every new person insured, right?

The 3 million number only represents those who used the exchange b/c they couldn't find good insurance elsewhere.

I mean - you knew all of this right? Before spouting off in an angry huff, you people make sure you're at least CORRECT about shit, don't you?

It needs zero to "stay afloat," because "it" is not a health insurance business. It's a law.

WOW

Bailouts for what?

Every new person insured is MORE business than the insurance companies were doing before.

And before, they were...........you know, afloat. In Business.

I get the feeling that you few in this thread think that the ACA is an actual insurance plan...

In which case, you're lost.

They will change that.

They will just take the money straight out of your accounts, and they will make it a criminal offense to dodge.

Seriously. I can't believe people are surprised. Morons.

I would think the 48 million that Obama said needed healthcare would flood the government website.
So where are they?

Only 3.3 million signed up...
How many of them completed the process and paid for the policies?
