Short reason: Google's search results are filled with Quora and Reddit. These are FORUMS, not legitimated search results people want when searching out a topic.

I've been wondering why these sites are filling the first page of Google for nearly every search. Now I know.

The Duck is a far superior experience, IMO. Just its not tracking its users is a plus~

Congrats. Welcome to the True Patriots Club.

Easy now...I side with Conservatives, I vote with Conservatives BUT they are the most nutless, spinless, big mouth pieces of shit that ever were. Come on man...they didn’t have the balls to keep heterosexual white Christians cool in a nation founded, built, run and funded by heterosexual white Christians. The Left has owned their sackless asses for decades....Sad but true.

There is probably no corporation on earth that is better at tracking the flow of information and people than Google is.

Naturally, all of their customers will be, by default, tracked and monitored.

I dunno.
Facebook does a pretty damn good job of finding out every thing about you and everyone you know as well.
And they heavily;y censor those who don't love Socialism and the Far Left ideology.

Yet Most on the Right remain fiercely loyal to Facebook and use it daily. Truly natural born losers.

I've been using it for a couple of years now. No complaints.

My issue isn't the tracking as much as the poor, filtered search results.

Duckduckgo promotes censorship.

Try Brave.

Or Searx(.)org

I like the Quora and Reddit personally, but yeah, you get different results with Duck. Same with Brave. Haven't tried MG or searx.org. Lately I spend more time downloading stuff from HEARTH and archive.org, before the whole net gets put behind paywalls, though.

Why they're tinkering with the search results:

According to the article above, Googles decline in usable search results began when they hired this man:

Do you want to know what Prabhakar Raghavan’s old job was? What Prabhakar Raghavan, the new head of Google Search, the guy that has run Google Search into the ground, the guy who is currently destroying search, did before his job at Google?

He was the head of search for Yahoo from 2005 through 2012 — a tumultuous period that cemented its terminal decline, and effectively saw the company bow out of the search market altogether. His responsibilities? Research and development for Yahoo's search and ads products
