I really think Trump needs to STFU About how this Hurricane is Being Handled

I guess we are supposed to forget that Trump was president. And we are supposed to forget how he performed in similar instances as this hurricane. It took Puerto Rico years to get the money they needed and Trump was running his mouth about what they owed. He would rush help to red states while delaying aid to blue states. Then we have COVID, a massive fail that left 500,000 dead and 25 million infected with many dying as Trump left office. Trump and his cult need to STFU about how Biden in handling this disaster because Trump showed us that he would be worse

Trump Hesitated To Grant Disaster Aid To Blue States, Report Says

As president, Donald Trump wavered on decisions to grant federal disaster aid to states where he believed fewer people supported him, according to a new report from Politico that cites interviews with two former Trump administration officials.

One of the officials was Mark Harvey, who served on the National Security Council as senior director of resilience policy. He told the outlet that Trump initially did not want to send the Federal Emergency Management Agency to Southern California amid the devastating wildfires there in 2018.

Trump Refused to Approve Wildfire Aid Until He Learned Affected Areas Were MAGA: Report

As the death toll from Hurricane Helene surpasses 200 people and the Southeast continues to reel from the disaster, Donald Trump is working overtime to politicize the tragedy into an attack against his opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris.

Despite governors from both political parties lauding of the Biden administration's response, Trump is insisting the federal government has abandoned affected communities.

Earlier this week, Trump baselessly claimed that "the Federal Government, and the Democrat Governor of [North Carolina are] going out of their way to not help people in Republican areas," ahead of a visit to a disaster zone in Valdosta, Georgia. But for all of the former president's posturing as a capable leader who would better handle the crisis, his record in the White House says otherwise.

According to a Thursday report from E&E News, in 2018 - as wildfires ravaged large swaths of California - Trump initially refused to approve aid to the state because he felt some of the affected regions didn't like him enough.

New probe confirms Trump officials blocked Puerto Rico from receiving hurricane aid

The administration of former President Donald Trump obstructed an investigation looking into why officials withheld about $20 billion in hurricane relief for Puerto Rico following the devastating aftermath of Hurricane Maria in 2017, one of the deadliest U.S. natural disasters in over 100 years, a new report says.

A Department of Housing and Urban Development Office of Inspector General report made public Thursday also found that tensions between the department and the Office of Management and Budget resulted in unprecedented procedural hurdles that produced delays in the disbursement of the congressionally approved funds.

Biden administration lifts Trump-era restrictions stalling Puerto Rico hurricane aid

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development removed restrictions unique to Puerto Rico that had been limiting the island's ability to access certain recovery funds following the devastating aftermath of Hurricane Maria in 2017, the agency announced Monday.

The agency also unlocked access to $8.2 billion in Community Development Block Grant Mitigation funds to help the island build resiliency against future disasters. The aid was previously approved by Congress in 2018.

These actions come as the administration of President Joe Biden attempts to ease tensions between the federal government and the U.S. territory after former President Donald Trump repeatedly opposed disaster funding for Puerto Rico while disputing and failing to acknowledge Maria's death toll.

Your desperation is cute, IQ2.

Hapless nincompoops like you wouldn't know what to do with your useless lives, if you didn't have big daddy gubmint around to wipe your asses for you.
You think the victims of Helene are trumpeting that nonsense you twit?

They want all the “gubmint” help they can get.

And rightfully so.

The locals are doing a far better job than your sainted loser federal bureaucrats.

Oh bullshit. Locals can’t replace highways, rebuild bridges, hand out millions of dollars in immediate cash.

Sure local help is welcome and needed but it can never replace what the might of a nation can do and claiming otherwise is just plain stupid

The private efforts have been blocked by FEMA bureaucrats, and cultist dopes like Lush think that they're fucking saints.
That’s just one of many lies you Trump cultists have been telling
