The HMOs were raising the cost of health care at insane and unjustifiable levels before the AHCA was worked on and encted. THAT was the individually isolated killer of personal and small business financial progress in our country. You people have perpetrated a fraud on our country. No one claimed that the shutdown is "saving us money". Not sure where you're getting that information from.

The gov't is currently shutdown because the right and the left cannot agree on a bill to fund the gov't and therefore nothing got funded.

In most states they are eligible for unemployment insurance even though they are entitled to back pay.

There is no payroll deduction from a Federal employee's wages for unemployment insurance protection. Benefits are paid for by the various Federal agencies.....they are just administered by the State you live in ......so any back pay will probably be less anything you may have already collected....

Allowing mentally unstable people in the positions of power in government is the same as letting small children handle guns. Eventually something very bad happens.

Ya.. the Tea Baggers in the HOR wear suits and ties just like adults but they are not. They have the maturity of young children. They throw a tantrum when they lose elections and don't get thier way. They break things to get attention. Then...yes the adults must step in and make right the damage as best they can and yes that means paying the back pay to all the emplyees that still have to make payments on cars and mortgages.
