If Obamacare sucks is that the GOP's 2016 ticket?

Until the system is completely in force and people are actually using it, saying people do or don't like it really doesn't mean much. The question will be how do people like it in a couple of years once they are using it.

The real question is whether it will LAST two years. You must live in a world where opinion and individual freedom are irrelevant.

Hey idiot, parts of tbe PPACA/Obamacre have been in effect for a while now. No complaints to really get hysterical about. The website is for the 15million(?) Without healthcare.

Calm the fouk down

But then again, there 1.1 million people now without insurance in two states thanks to Obamacare. Plenty to complain about.

New Jersey kicked 800,000 and Florida kicked 300,000 off of their plans in the past few days.

America is more liberal though. So while of course, the GOP gets votes from people who are conservative on social issues, Dems are more liked and appeal to more people for their stance on social issues

So I'm saying, without giving up their stance on social issues, can the GOP secure enough independents, non-voters, and maybe some DEM votes for calling it on Obamacare, assuming Obamacare is a consistent train wreck and disappointment?

I will be keeping my eye on the youth vote. The young will be paying disproportionately more for Obamacare so it will be interesting to see if they continue to vote predominately democrat or start drifting to the right. Perhaps they'll just stay at home. Either way, this is the demographic that I find the most interesting and subject to change.

Ahem -- it's not the youth out tbere protesting and demanding they be thrown off tgeir parent's coverage or denied insurance for preexisting conditions.

You need to get out more often

On top of 20 to 30 thousand dollar college loans (on average), the younger folks will also be forced to pay for the lion's share of Obamacare. Being on their parent's insurance doesn't cost the kids anything so of course they are for it. Much of the youth, I suspect, will wait till they get a preexisting condition to sign up. I suspect most won't sign up at all. It will be interesting to watch what happens.

ObamaCare won't fail. The GOP bet everything on defeating it, and they lost.
The Right is scared that the ACA will be a success like Medicare and Social Security.

Student loans will be written off, at least the federally funded ones. I suspect public universities will just end up being completely state and federally funded and "free" as a result. If you think standards are weakening for admission and degrees now, you ain't seen nothing yet.

The amount of debt a student takes on is somehow the President's doing? you mean the parents used their home as a piggy bank and personal responsibility went out the window?

What exactly are you talking about? Did I blame the president for student loans? I said that it will be interesting to see if kids who have to pay off loans are going to drool at the prospect of getting to pay more money out of their pocket for Obamacare. Also, If you think young folks would rather put their money into Obamacare as opposed to buying a car then so be it. I'll disagree with ya though. Especially since you can sign up for Obamacare after you find out about your preexisting condition. Of course most young folks aren't unhealthy so my suspicion remains that getting young people to sign up for Obamacare is going to be like herding cats. Also speaking of senile fools on medication. Try reading my post next time before you respond.

From one of the links:
“In the end it could be a net positive for people,” said Linda Schwimmer, vice president of the New Jersey Health Care Quality Institute.

She pointed out that preventive care, such as blood pressure screening, will now be covered for free.

“You got to think about somebody relatively healthy and pretty good about getting their primary care needs,” she said. “It might actually cost less out of pocket. I think it’s an opportunity.”

Any talk about Obamacare is about Obama.

What were your predictions for elections in 2006, 2008, 2012?

The University of California was free until Governor Reagan ended that.

Obviously the states didn't kick them off. I'm sure he meant to word it differently than he did.
Refer back to the first sentence he posted and Quit yer damn nit picking, you're smarter than that.

Brian McGuire, associate state director for AARP New Jersey, said these changes may be frustrating to seniors forced to change plans, but it is an overall benefit for Medicare recipients. That’s because the Affordable Care Act provides financial incentives to insurance plans that are ranked highest for quality of care and customer service.

“Any time a senior has a plan they like and have to change, that’s not a positive, but we have a much better assurance that there are higher-quality plans being offered,” he said.“
