This thread isn't about if the shit hits the fan...it is only about what you would miss most if it did.

beings its pretty hot right now I would miss the fan,, not going to use it with shit all over it,,
It's hot for sure. That is where the premise for the thread originated.

I decided to go grill a couple of steaks on the smokey joe instead of heating up the house.

And I thought...what if you had to do this everyday to have a hot meal.

Washer & Dryer. Hand washed clothes hung up to dry just isn't as comfy as spun dry hugs.

I'm going to miss the daily predictions from people on the right that the world is about to end because of same sex marriage.

Exactly what do you mean?

There's all sorts of fans out there with all sorts of shit being flung at them.

Is there any particular one you fancy?

Grid down? Better have plenty of fuel for that

What I'd miss??? Ability to communicate easily with family

Air conditioning and clean water.

After that, an endless supply of fresh fruits and vegetables.

With our new solar set up i'll be able to enjoy cold drinks,Ice and a fan.
I wish I could get enough solar to run an A/C but we're not there just yet.

Texas is no different.
Hot as hell with the humidity to go with it.
I can deal with it with a fan, cold drinks and some shade but I dont think the Wife could.
When I was young back in the 1950s and early 60s we didn't even have AC and it never seemed to bother me.

However, in my old age I have become quite dependent on AC.

I make it a habit to be outside year around.
And while the heat is harder to deal with as I get older,58, as long as I acclimate every year I'm fine.
The Wife still works in an office so it hard on Her.
