If You Agree That Trump Has Presidential Immunity, Then Biden has the Right to Lock Trump Up

I think the trump worshippers don't see how trump has shot himself in the foot like Barney Fife. His team is arguing about presidential immunity while Trump is whining about Biden prosecuting his political opposition. If the president has immunity, Biden is the president and Biden can imprison trump and eveybody associated with trump.

TODAY.

Special counsel Jack Smith’s team urged the Supreme Court on Monday night to reject former President Donald Trump’s claim that he is immune from prosecution in a case charging him with scheming to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.

The brief from prosecutors was submitted just over two weeks before the justices take up the legally untested question of whether an ex-president is shielded from criminal charges for official actions taken in the White House.

Where have you been? Biden has already been trying to do that.

If the President has absolute immunity, Biden can have Trump assassinated and Biden is immune from prosecution.

That's not what the SCOTUS heard. Did any of you on the Left actually listen to the arguments? Immunity is for official Presidential Acts, not personal acts.

Having a U.S. Citizens assassinated has never been by the authority of a U.S. President.

Having Trump assassinated would be a service to the nation and very much a presidential duty. The guy tried to overthrow the government of the United States. That’s treason, punishable by death.

That is absolutely one of the arguments that Trump’s lawyers made. He could have his presidential opponents assassinated, and he would be immune from prosecution.

Yes, I listened to the oral arguments in the Supreme Court. Trump’s lawyer embarrassed himself with his idiocy of his arguments.

The amount of propaganda you spew is only rivaled by the hate in your heart.

If a Republican disputes election results (for good reasons: un-requested mail in ballots, no signature verification, faulty machines, vote harvesting, drop boxes, strange identical vote shifts in the middle of the night with no observers at multiple locations.) it's treason.

When Democrats do it without all the reasons.... silence.

Presidents must have immunity for their official acts, or the Presidency is dead. Assassinating a U.S. Citizen is not an official act.

And he said a Seal Team 6 action would be an immune act

It seems a bit odd that the 44 previous presidents didn't need immunity. SCOTUS is trying to look into the future, when they should be looking into the past.

Yes. Trump didn't think that request through very well did he?

I loved it when the Trump lawyer was asked for examples of Presidents who could have been criminally charged for executive actions, and he gave examples and the Justice said but there wasn't even an attempt by either party to bring charges against W (lying about WMD), Obama (drone kills of American citizens). There was a third example, but I'm not recalling it, right now.

Trump would go to jail and you couldn't do anything but watch it happen.
Given the prison terms Jan 6 insurrectionists are receiving for their criminal actions in the Capitol Building, the trump Nazis are full of second thoughts when it comes to committing violence at the behest of their führer/cult leader.

The trump Nazis on these message boards are typical, full of big talk but would take no actions should authorities lock their orange hero up.
