If you disparage the Tea Partiers based on a few individuals how do you treat muslims

Judging soley from this response of his I think he jumped to a conclusion that was not based in the reality of what was said in the OP or the thread prior to his post.
The title sets up the Teabaggers as unfair VICTIMS of stereotyping rather than the purveyors of stereotyping. The Teabaggers reap what they sow, and rightly so.
So, in summary:

You make bigoted statements about Tea Party members (remember, "teabaggers" is insulting, and you don't engage in ad hominym, right? :cuckoo:).

Then, as proof of your bigoted statements, you point to your own bigotry.
The Teabaggers PROUDLY chose the name themselves, now they pretend they are VICTIMS of name calling when someone uses the name they chose. Don't you Teabaggers think you are milking this perpetual VICTIMHOOD just a little too much???

Do you also think that all muslims are represented by a few individual muslim terrorists?

If you are consistent in how you analyize individuals and groups I would be led to beleive that due to your views on all tea partiers being racist right wing obama hating republicans that you would also hold the view that all muslims are Koran bastardizing, suicide bombing of innocents, terrorists.

What say you?

oh snap....:clap2:

Wrong analogy. It's not "as Tea partiers are to Muslims", but "as Tea Partiers are to Islamists". They may not all be terrorists, but they do give them cover. What % of TPs believe Obama isn't an American or that he's Muslim? A lot higher than the national average, I'd wager. How are they any different than Muslims that listen to radical sermons? In either case they've turned their minds off in service of an ideology and aren't to be trusted.

You have surveyed a representative number, that is more than 1000 of either group, to arrive at your opinion?

Didn't think so.

Bias is as bias does.

Imitation is the surest sign of flattery.

Comparing the tea party to a major religion of over 1.5 billion is a bit absurd if reason had any place in the consideration. Is Christianity represented by Adolph Hitler, Timothy McVeigh, or Eric Robert Rudolph? But a few bad apples can have great impact, check out the KKK or the power of groupthink sometime.

Personally I criticize the entire tea party movement, but not for racism alone. It didn't start until after the last democratically held election, and represents for me what is one of the worst traits of people-kind: selfishness. I have already spelled out the requirements for criticizing Obama below, they apply to all, even the whiners of the tea party.

This could use an edit but it still works.

I respect any tea party member who made noise BEFORE Obama took office. If they were complaining back then and now, they are real. The rest are tea baggers.

I don't know what you are saying here. I was one who did not really want to see Obama elected, the option in McCain was not a clear difference. As a pragmatist, when he was elected, I thought that he should get a chance to prove he was what he claimed to be: A post racist unifier who would humbly return our country to respect among nations and be a manager of comprimise.

Turns out he's a racist who is a politically motivated Chicago style politician with no regard for the country or the future or to common sense. He has made everything worse with every move he makes and is threatening now to actually launch another Great depression.

If the teleprompter had never been invented, his only strength would not exist.

What does making noise mean in your context? Why does judging a man on his performance negate the rational estimate by the observer?

In any large population, there are always going to be extremists and wingnuts. That is a statistical fact.

The nutters in the Tea Party do not represent that average supporter of the Tea Party any more than the Islamic nutter is representative of the average Muslim.

oh not just for racism, I see, man am I relieved. you've just fallen into parody...oh well.

When CON$ know they've lost the argument, they stoop to personal insults.
Thank you.
And you're too stupid to realize that CON$ is insulting.

So it looks like you're a flaming hypocrite, too.
Only if I pretended to believe in God like CON$ do. I am merely showing sincere respect for the Golden Rule of their professed religious beliefs.
Once again, a leftist refuses to take responsibility for his words. :clap2:

I'm not a Tea Party member.

And way to duck the second part: You "prove" tea Party members are racist by pointing to your own bigoted statements about them. Shows poor (I'm being generous -- it's actually "nonexistent") thinking skills.

Dumbass.

It's funny the way you all pretend that you wouldn't call them teabaggers if they hadn't called themselves that.

No funnier than CON$ saying they only used "Osama Obama" because Kennedy did (accidently, BTW).

Now you are a mindreader.

My "mindset" is Teabaggers have no right to complain about stereotyping since they have been stereotyping health care reformers all along.

Again, since the Beck Baggers are hiding behind God:

Lu 6:42 Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother’s eye.

If I was a mindreader I wouldn't have had to ask you if my assumptions were right or wrong about you. From that very comment, combined with your others in the thread it is plain and obvious that you have either a limited capacity to comprehend simple statements or are intentionally misrepresenting what is being discussed.
Thank you for your condescension and PROJECTION.

If you really wanted to have a serious discussion, rather than the trolling you are doing, you would have chosen a different example than the Teabaggers. They are hardly innocent VICTIMS. You sound like your MessiahRushie whining that the Teabaggers were called Nazis, even though they weren't, after the Teabaggers called health care reformers Nazis.

Now I understand your issue with this thread. It forces you to face the reality of your own bigotry (which bleeds from your above post) towards tea party people.

While I fit under your description of a respectable tea party member you have to realize that most americans didn't pay attention till the very end of bush's term when he signed TARP.

That is really what woke people up and you should think of that fact before jumping to conclusions about some of the people in the tea parties.

You can't argue against the fact that the Teabaggers have been stereotyping health care reformers and therefore are not the innocent VICTIMS of stereotyping, so you have no choice but to stoop to personal attacks.
Thank you.

I never said that some teaparty people have or haven't claimed that Obamacare is a Socialist style health care setup or that the fact that it forces us to buy insurance from private companies or face fines is unconstitutional in nature or that they have said those who support it don't understand what is really being done.

I know my comment felt like an attack to you but it is an honest assesment of your attitudes towards an entire group of people based on the actions of a very small minority of them. Your attitude toward tea party people reminds me of how some american's view all muslims as terrorists.

BTW the majority of your posts leading up to this one contained generalized attacks against groups of people such as "con$" and "Teabaggers" yet you accuse me of stooping, seeing that type of hypocricy always puts a smile on my face.

This is the ONLY reason why I disparage Tea Partiers:

Not enough of them admit that they were wrong not starting their movement when things were getting out of control far before Obama took over.

And until they do, I will continue to consider it a reactionary partisan movement. When I see PROOF that they continue the movement during a Republican administration, then I will have respect for them.

I have never considered the Tea Party to be a racist organization. I consider it a partisan organization.

I do understand that "Why are they only mad now when bush was doing stupid economic crap too" mentality. That has merit to it. I would point you to my response to Zona for some of the reason many of the people who are now active became active so late in the game. (not including me as i've been crabby @ Bush since he cut taxes while increasing spending way back at the beginning of his presidency)
