Where did I say he was lying.? I said that that his opinion piece was a fluffer for the President. I pointed out that the great things he's claiming Trump is doing for veterans are doing little to improve their lives or help them cope with return to civilian life.

Whistle blowers and wait times on a website do nothing. New equipment for the troops doesn't help vets. Expanding the access to private is a double edged sword, and the sharpest edge is that it's under funded and is taking funding away from other VA programs which were already underfunded to begin with.

More transparency and accountablity isn't helping with PTSD, or opiod addiction. Better health care records won't help his homeless problem. The stuff Trump is doing is Administration and window dressing.

Veterans themselves aren't necessarily sold ono the idea of outside medical appointments. That may be because of the level of expertise and experience VA staff have in meeting their particular needs. Field combat surgical units and specialized VA hospitals have developed the world's greatest resource in dealing with trauma and catastrophic wounds. Veterans have come to appreciate and rely on their expertise. What is needed is more staff, beds and resources to expand on the work they're doing, not cutting funding to send patients to less capable and less experience family doctors, and general surgeons.

I'm ashamed that I have to breathe the same air as democrats who would effectively try to boycott a celebration of our nation's birthday and its history by its president paying homage to great astronauts, heroes of medicine and our branches of the military as they saluted our jets flying overhead to the Battle Hymn of the Republic.

It was enough to bring a tear to one's eye.

I'm shocked that on one CNN program, where a guest said he thought it was cool and great to see a showcase of all this great military weaponry as the best of all fireworks, that all he got back from his CNN anchors was cold glares.

I regret having to walk the same soil as a bunch of unpatriotic cowards who would try to spin the many great displays of our finest in the military, marching bands and others. One of my favorite parts was as the crowd was able to go right up to a Bradley tank and put their hands on it. One fellow had his baby on his shoulders so he could see it.
