IPCC to release revised polluter index

Guess the chinese are wasting more money on solar and wind than most also.... They should get a medal or sumthin..... So DOTCOMMIE ---- what should we ever do to get off that list??? I will take any answer that doesnt include the failed list of what you call energy alternatives..

I can fix this problem tomorrow with a plan to put 200 nuclear power plants on line by 2016.. The Japanese realized yesterday, that is part of the solution..

We should use anything on his list of alternative energy sources.
.
Hydrogen, solar, wind, tidal, hydro, nuclear, OTEC, fusion. We should conserve a lot more energy than we do. The CAFE standards ought to have every four wheel passenger vehicle in this nation above 40 mpg within the decade. Both light and heavy trucks should be getting twice the mileage they currently achieve. Producing carbon emissions should be taxed. We could be taxed on how much fuel we burn in our cars, heating and cooling our homes, and in industrial processes of all sort. We should apply tariffs on imported goods based on the carbon cost of their production and transport.

Good points. I agree

Add to the list- geothermal as well.

Geothermal?? Really?? You that jazzed about mining and FRACKING ? No advanced society will grow on solar or wind.. Aint fucking possible to ADD generation capacity with those gimmicks....

Taxes and taxes and taxes and tariffs.. They are all penalties. AND the government will squander the money on condoms and schools in the Far east.. Doing that to the contracting and emaciated economies of the West, will have you eating dirt in a decade or less....

And there goes dotty ----- running for the door.

:scared1:

hit n run king of the enviro forum......

Geothermal mining was the testbed for fracking technology, and DotCommie is all up with that stuff....

Our capacity has grown over the last 20 years during which time we've ADDED about 320 Gigawatts of wind power and approximately 80 Gigawatts of just PV solar. So, what ARE you trying to say?

If/when we pass the "Tipping point" there won't be anyone left alive much less the poor.

BBC News - IPCC scientists accused of 'marginalising' poor nations
But a lead author told BBC News that this focus on cutting CO2 was ignoring the development needs of the poor.

"The narrative, the language, the views of the IPCC still marginalises the developing country perspectives," Dr Chukwumerije Okereke, from Reading University, told BBC News.

Wind adds nothing to grid capacity.. Its not there on Tuesdays or Thursdays so any engineer would know that it does not count towards the RELIABLE STABLE grid generation limit. And your numbers are CAPACITY crap propaganda. Wind and solar actually produce a fractional third of those numbers..

So much caring for the poor.. Go to Germany and find out exactly who is paying the price for the economic disasterous investments in Green power.. Its EXACTLY the poor. YOU want energy to be RARE and EXPENSIVE. Rare by emphasizing conservation over capacity, and expensive by being willing to toss the peopkes money at MASSIVE subsidies for little gain. I want energy to be CHEAP and PLENTIFUL.

And if you were concerned about the poor, you wouldnt be advocating TRILLIONS in diversions into power systems AND STEALING those funds from other MORE WORTHY projects to save lives and make a better world.

Bravo to the IPCC guys who are now speaking out. Like this Dr from Reading. There is no desire to toss all available resources at a problem that is as nebulous as this, when folks are dying every day from bad water and bad air and bad food. And most of those same folks dont give a shit about where their power comes from, because they dont own a lightbulb.

Ummmm, I hate to inform you of this....ummm...but to use geothermal.......ummmm....well.....uummmm, you have to use FRACKING you idiot! Fracking is terrible and MUST not be done!

Or, are you going to revise your stance on fracking?:eusa_whistle::eusa_whistle:
