Is America finally ready for smart guns?

I have an iPad Pro and the finger print reader rarely works... Why would I trust a progressive idea? Lol

Jonathan Mossberg has already made a smart gun — a shotgun that can only be discharged by someone wearing a ring that communicates with a chip inside the weapon, unlocking it.

The gunmaker’s smart guns, there are about 25 of them, are nearly 20 years old. They have been tested repeatedly and kept in the homes of his friends and family for self-defense. But Mossberg’s Florida-based company, iGun Technology Corp., has never scaled the high-tech components to a handgun. And cultural and political barriers have stood in the way of selling the guns commercially."

Is America finally ready for smart guns?

What could POSSIBLY go wrong?

Fuck smart guns. No one is stopping you from buying one if you want the piece of shit.

Aren't you jus all mad and shit. Try thinking beyond your nose. The chips can be used for many things including shutting them down.

And there's the rub. What if cops, with the push of a button, can render firearms inert? What if a signal sent out over cell phone towers can disarm an entire population? Why would we for a moment trust a government that's developing microwave and sonic weapons to be used against civilians?

That's where it is, or where they want to take it.

It's the next step in evolution. Police already are developing technology to shut down your car using electronic disruptive devices. They're already thinking along that trajectory.
