The average for my AO this time of year is well into the 60s but it's not been that warm for a couple of weeks.

Was warmer in january and february, cooler in march.

We went down CA-3 from Yreka to Weaverville last summer. Beautiful road but twistier than I anticipated.

OK, you're further south than I was thinking. Sorry, I am not too familiar with the location of the counties. I was thinking Shasta county would be more up around Mt. Shasta. My bad.

Well one good thing about it all, the wife took the opportunity to make a big pot of vegetable beef soup....I just enjoyed two bowls!

Pro-tip.....Go to ALDI and get their pot roast kit. it makes a great "starter" for a big pot of vegetable beef soup!

No- it's not colder or warmer- I live in Maine- Very bad weather. Bottom line. We had a nice winter- thought we were outta the woods. pun-
But come hell or high water- Maine gets an average of 100 inches a year. And we had to get it late.
in the last 10 days we got dumped on- 3 feet... In april- yes sir-eee !!!lol and yes- it was a BIG mess.

Here in Western Pennsylvania, we had a very unusual warm spell at the end of February, making us think that Spring would come early. Since then the weather has been crappy.

I like to ride my bike but I won't go out if the temperature is below 40F. I've been out twice since March 1.

The forecast for this coming week is fairly good, albeit rainy.

Increasing heat is a sign of global warming
Increasing cold is a sign of global warming

Definitely colder. I just got back from walking two blocks, and it’s hovering just around 50 degrees and blustery. More like early March weather.

Must be that climate warming thing.

Minnesota has been unusually warm all winter and spring is no exception.
Earliest ice out for lakes in most of the state. Had a foot of snow last week during the storm but that is already gone with extended temperatures in the 60's.
Last year we were still All In on winter at this time.
I was still snowmobiling and now I am prepping my boat instead.

Shasta County is one County from Oregon ( We are as far North as you can go without going through City of Mount Shasta / Yreka and into Ashland Oregon )

Mount Shasta is 50 miles away in Siskiyou County , Old Shasta is 8 miles west of Redding near Whiskeytown Lake

We had a warm winter ... spring is running normal ... rain every day all day long ... everything here is as average as average can be ...

I haven't made it out to the local college on a sunny day yet ... to see just how white the white girls are this time of year ... that's usually a good indication of the climate ...
