As I said in one of the zillion other topics about this, I give Trump props for walking into a hostile environment. That did indeed take balls.

And before lighting into him, the journalists did not welcome or greet him. That's unprofessional and low class.

But Trump seriously underestimated his abilities to answer tough questions. Perhaps this is yet another sign of his deteriorating mental health.

The journalists did a great job of fact checking him in real time, and calling him on his attempts to divert from the hard questions. Trump was not ready for that. All his tired tactics blew up in his face.

Being grilled by three black women also threw him off.

This was a huge strategic mistake on Trump's part.
