The world has come a long way since WW2, if only mostly because of the M.A.D. deterrent.

While the Christian bible has been torn to shreds by modern science. Nothing remains of it that can be touted as literal truth!

If one compares the barbarism of the Ancient Egyptian, Greek and Roman civilizations with post-Roman imperial collapse, the dark Middle Ages and the brutality of many Victorian monarchical societies to our modern Western civilization, one will find only slight differences; our modern society is more brutal, more savage, more chaotic and far less forgiving. Technology has done little to lift modern man out of his ancient, simplistic murderous tendencies. In fact, many or even most modern technologies have done the opposite: they have made it far, far easier for governments to oppress, monitor, corral, enslave and even kill more people than ever before in man's history. In every way imaginable, starting from around five thousand years ago and marching forward to the present, mankind has devolved from the simplicity and purity of the family unit to the unrivaled, monolithic barbarism of mass collective mega cities, instant global communication, moment to moment 24/7 worship of simulacra, and worldwide practice of moral relativism.

No, the Bible is not always correct...the Bible isn't even correct with itself -- which is why there are 9292827373 contradictions in the Bible...and this is why there are 29827347327 different interpretations to Bible scriptures creating 92837243377 different religions...

One can say that God did a pretty terrible job of presenting a concise; easy to understand message...which is why God isn't religious...men are....

As a Rabbi said long ago...God's message is to love God and love your fellowman. The rest is just commentary.

It is the people who ask questions that begin the commentary: How do we love God? How do we love our fellowman? They ask for God's message to be explained, and then the explanations to have explanations...ad nauseum.

It has been said that we are 9 meals from anarchy…I wouldn’t want to see us test that how ever I am of the opinion that we have not progressed at all if anything we have slipped down a number of notches it is only through our modern advances in a number of fields that we can claim we have advanced but if we ever loose the ability to use them we would be right back where we were at the beginning pretty quick if not worse…

I'm very much a believer in God. But, I agree with you that human nature does not change. We become carnal and devilish left up to our own designs. When "God" is in the minds and hearts of a society, there is generally good progress in society in many areas. We went from hating people for the color of their skins to more loving and acceptance of people regardless of their skins. Our technology grew quickly and our wealth around the world grew eliminating much poverty through capitalism. China is a great example of this as they moved to a more capitalist economy. But, withing the past 10-15 years, our moral decay to where we can't even find our leaders being able to define a woman, allow men destroy women in sporting events and basically a fall in the belief in God, we now find the world in turmoil and very quickly this happened. About one year is all it took. It's called the "Pride" cycle and it's rooted in hatred of others. Not sure if we can turn it around before our civilization kills itself off with nuclear bombs.

Transgender bathrooms that Democrats pushed to get laws past to allow. The NCAA allowing a man thrash women in sports that are supposed to be for biological women. Then, there is Hollywood that has in 100% TV shows and now movies someone gay or a transvestite. Yet, only 5% or less are gay and less than 1/10 of 1% are transvestites. No conspiracy, just the facts!
