Zone1 Catholic Church Is a Cult

I was about to write a long and detailed post about some misinterpretations of Jesus' teachings but we can save that for another time.

As far as Calvin's long winded post is concerned - "Settling the debt" BEFORE you get to the judge IS purgatory - NOT AFTER. So no need to make pacts with the devil or any of that other nonsense. I would think a person that had that much time to think about it and write that elaborate paragraph would have figured that part out.
HUH.

Correct. Purgatory may even begin once a person is fully in Spirit while on Earth but becomes "naked" because he/she becomes "aware" of his/her mistakes.

In the same way the Spiritual Kingdom of heaven is "all around us but people do not see it" - so too is purgatory - at least for some.

"Death" (Meaning spiritual death of a person's "Old ways/sin/unrighteousness" can certainly begin while their physical body is still alive - imagine how strong their soul must be to empower their Spirit to action while still in physical bodies on Earth - those could be considered "the select/chosen" - and eventual Saints.

HOGWASH. NOTHING BIBLICAL.

HOGWASH. NOTHING BIBLICAL.

One needs to understand wording/translations and how they were stated at the time. There are at least 6 terms of places in the afterlife written in the Bible - Gehenna, Hades, Sheol, Tartarus, The Pit and the Lake of Fire.

Out of all these - ONLY the Lake of Fire is stated as being the "final" destination for some.

Even the book of Revelation states that there are several "places" or "entities" - "The Sea" - "Death" and "Hades" that host souls before judgement.

Revelation 20:

"The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done."

If you read the Bible carefully you'll realize that souls go to and are held in "places" prior to final judgement. Anything prior to final judgement could be considered purgatory.

Do you understand what that paragraph means?

This is the entire verse:

We know that if the earthly tent we live in is torn down, we have a building in heaven that comes from God, an eternal house not built by humana hands. For in this one we sigh, since we long to put on our heavenly dwelling.
(Waiting place before physical death - spiritually could be purgatory)

Of course, if we do put it on, we will not be found without a body. (Denotes the path of the soul to spirit form)

So while we are still in this tent, we sigh under our burdens, because we do not want to put it off but to put it on, so that our dying bodies may be swallowed up by life. God has prepared us for this and has given us his Spirit as a guarantee.
Therefore, we are always confident, and we know that as long as we are at home in this body we are away from the Lord. For we live by faith, not by sight. We are confident, then, and would prefer to be away from this body and to live with the Lord. So whether we are at home or away from home, our goal is to be pleasing to him.

(Again waiting but with the reassurance that our souls will be led by God's Spirit after death. And if we do what is pleasing to God, we will have a strong advocate if/when judged)

For all of us must appear before the judgment seat of the Messiah, so that each of us may receive what he deserves for what he has done in his body, whether good or worthless.

Clearly states that even with grace and faith - works matter and we will be judged according to what they are. Now if we already cleansed ourselves free of most sin by confessing, repenting and making amends prior to judgement (PURGATORY) - then those sins (bad, worthless works) won't be held against us at judgement - which would make our faith and good works pleasing to God and then..."Our Light will Rise in the Darkness and our Night Will Become Like Noonday."

“It must, of course, be held as a matter of faith that outside the apostolic Roman Church no one can be saved, that the Church is the only ark of salvation, and that whoever does not enter it will perish in the flood.”
Pope Pius IX

Dozens of other popes have said the same thing.

Yet the entire ministry of Jesus the Christ was all about simply accepting Him as the Son of God in your heart makes you saved. The criminal on the cross next to Jesus went to paradise simply because he came to faith as he witnessed what was going on.

Until Martin Luther the catholic cult kept the Bible in Latin so only a select few wealthy people could actually see what the Bible really said. You were put to death for translation of the Bible into a common language.

And do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father, and he is in heaven.
Mathew 23
And guess what. Yep. More anti-Biblical teachings by the Catholic cult.

Catholics have an elite class of leaders that can never be questioned and must be obeyed. Only they are allowed to interpret the Bible.

Many of the teachings of the catholic cult are non Biblical and invented by leaders of the cult. They have a 900 page book on how the Bible is to be interpreted.

Cults usually consider education dangerous, but Catholic schools are excellent. Maybe it's you.

You proclaimed Catholics have a great education system.

No shock you don’t have a clue as to what they produce.

Yes, I do. I attended private schools. My children and grandchildren attended Catholic schools. My brothers attended Notre Dame School in Rome. It's an excellent college prep.

A good school system produces adults who make contributions to society.

The fact you can’t name one result of your ‘great education system’ says it all.

Catholics have contributed to many areas of science, including medicine, technology, physics, chemistry, and mathematics. The Church has also supported science by establishing institutions of higher learning and funding scientific research. Some Catholic scientists include Galileo Galilei, René Descartes, Louis Pasteur, and Blaise Pascal.

Got it.
So it’s been 150 years since a contribution has been made.

Now what does any of your blather have to do with the Catholic Church being an anti Christian cult filled with anti Biblical teachings?

That one of the more hateful posters on this forum thinks he is the arbiter of who and who is not a Christian tells you all you need to know about the sad state of Christianity these days. With people like these as the face of Christianity, can there be any wonder why church attendance is hitting new lows?

If you knew what the Bible says about what to do with false teachers, you’d not be saying that.

But alas, Catholic cultists don’t know the Bible.
