socialist IS Marxist/Leninist. Communist is a misnomer used in the United Stated for pure socialism.
what is labeled socialist in the US is actually social-democratic.

socialist economic base is present both in the fascist regimes ( which still allow some of the big businesses to function, but selected ones) and in the pure socialism ( USSR and it's satellites, previous China, North Korea, previous Albania and some others)
