I'm fairly familiar with Iran-Contra, which has little to do with anything at this point. Personally, I think it wasn't that bad of an idea-just couldn't get Congress to go along, one of the difficulties of our system.

Yet, at this point in time, it's much like someone that blames their parents 30 years later for their current legal problems-sorry, time to take responsibility for where you are now. So once again, you get the gimme of Iran Contra. Doesn't change the fact of where the world is today.

I read the paper on the Palestinians-I vehemently disagree that we should abandon Israel, back the Palis, and from that point forward, 'be an honest broker.' Arafat could have had the state, the capital, he already had the money-but he chose to walk away from it.
