Israel’s Big Lie of “Self-Defence”

You are wrong! You are absolutely wrong! Google the list of restricted items not allowed in Gaza and tell me, as a fellow human being, could you have a dignified life without those products?

Do you live without electricity? Do you know how the quality of your life would be without electricity? How would your life be without potable water? How would your life be with weekly missile strikes from the IDF and no place to run or hide?

How about farming and fishing? How would your life be, if every time you went out to fish or harvest your crops, you got shot at by the IDF?

That is the reality for Gazans these past 16 years!

You asked how we can get rid of all this hate? Get rid of that Netanfuckyou government! Vote someone in on the Israeli left.
Well, 2 billion people exist on this planet without access to clean water and 675 million live without electricity. I'm pretty sure even Google doesn't know how many live without chocolate and hairspray.

Even still, I don't think we disagree that life would be much better in Gaza with reliable electricity, clean water, and a thriving economy. Where we differ is determining who bears the responsibility for the lack of those things in Gaza. I stand by my position that the people of Gaza can choose weapons, or they can choose water. If they choose weapons, the consequences will be that Israel defends itself. If they choose water the consequences will be clean water, reliable electricity, and a thriving economy.

Billions of people will lack access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene in 2030 unless progress quadruples – warn WHO, UNICEF

Wasn't it WHO that did that wonderful job on the Chinese Flu?

Get your goddamn military and your criminal settlers out of the WB, Golan Heights, East Jerusalem

You want them to get out of Judea, Samaria and half of their own capital?

Why would they do that? Just because you're a moron?

The military occupation of the past 50 years is illegal and their treatment of the Palestinians is criminal.

Just to give you context, the West Bank is under Israeli military occupation, which means that the Israeli army has control over the whole area. And it's created this military infrastructure that allows them easily to close down Palestinian towns and villages by barricading roads, by blocking entrances and exits. In addition to these physical barriers, there's also a lot of fear because Israeli settlers who illegally reside in the West Bank have been given more arms, in part because so much of the Israeli army is being diverted to the south. And these Israeli settlers are going on rampages and shooting Palestinians. So, you know, movement across the West Bank is already - in the best of times is already severely limited. But now there's so much fear and tension. It really has come to a standstill.

RASCOE: And so what has - that mean when you say it's come to a standstill?

HAWARI: Well, a lot of businesses and workplaces have closed, and people are not going into work. And a lot of the schools have closed, as well, out of fear of the very unsafe reality that has been created. You know, it is fear, but it's a fear that's very much grounded in the reality of life under military occupation. And I have to say, you know, over the last week, Palestinians in the West Bank who are prevented from seeing people in Gaza physically - you know, we've been glued to our TV screens, to our laptop screens, just waiting for news from friends and from people that we know. So it's been a really difficult atmosphere even though we are not going through near, you know, the same level of violence that Palestinians in Gaza are going through. The fear and the tension and the escalation of violence is really palpable.

The military occupation of the West Bank is criminal on every level.

Jewish extremists included assaults on Christian clergy, vandalism and anti-Christian graffiti at the Dormition Abbey and the Greek and Armenian Orthodox cemeteries on Mt. Zion near Jerusalem’s Old City, and arson attacks at several more homes in the West Bank village of Douma.

Jewish groups opposed to interacting with other religions continued their harassment and assault of Palestinian Christians and Muslims in Jerusalem. Some Jews harassed Christian clergy in Jerusalem, and at religious sites Orthodox and ultra-Orthodox Jews harassed visitors and Jewish worshippers whose practices did not conform to Jewish Orthodox traditions at religious sites.

Officials from the U.S. Consulate General in Jerusalem met with PA officials to discuss religious tolerance and concerns about access to religious sites. Consulate general officials expressed concerns about UNESCO resolutions backed by the PA that minimized or ignored the Jewish historical and religious connection to the Haram al-Sharif/Temple Mount and Western Wall. Visiting senior U.S. government officials including the U.S. Permanent...

Why?
Because non-Muslims aren't allowed to control land that was ever held by Muslims?
