Nagaenthran Dharmalingam had been on death row for more than a decade for trafficking 44 grams of heroin into Singapore. His lawyers' appeals against his execution say he was intellectually disabled.

And anyone can see the results when they visit that city/state; it's clean, their school systems are great, and they're one of the top economies in SE Asia per capita. Even their 'slums' are safe and clean.

Yes. They don't subsidize the Triad cartels the way American doper vermin do the Mexicans and other scumbags.
Extreme measures would solve our drug problems. Sadly, our government doesn't engage in positive extreme measures, just negative extreme measures. :(

How many innocent people are you willing to kill to sate your bloodlust?
I represent the public, not the judicial system. Their blood would be on the hands of the crooked or inept prosecutors. Anyway, what's the difference between,

The actual dead, by execution.
The walking dead, by lifetime incarceration.

Deflection. Again: How many innocent people are you willing to kill to sate your bloodlust?

Seems Singapore still has a demand for drugs and a market that will support it.

No amount of penalties can stop the Black Market.
Even the most tyrannical governments cannot stop illegal substances from being widely available and distributed, and only increase the profitability of those substances the more repressive the consequences.

Doesn't matter if it's Levi's or Crack. The Market will provide wanted goods.
