It Takes A Special Kind Of Genius

Trump lost a billion dollars and now he's bragging, "That makes me smart."

BWA-HA-HA-HA-HA!

So now you stoop to lying like a regressive. His smart comment had NOTHING to do with the loss.

It has EVERYTHING to do with the loss.

Trump tries to make his failures look like genius. The reason he was able to zero out his taxes is because he failed catastrophically. And he wants us to think that makes him smart!

If he was smart, he would not have lost a billion dollars in boom times. He would not have lost money every single year of the boom times. He would not have wiped out his investors.

Bullshit, the loss wasn't even on the public radar when he made that statement, it didn't come out till after the debate. Stop trying to rewrite history.
Oh, wow. This is probably the dumbest thing I have ever heard you say! And that's really saying something.

The New York Times story was all about Trump declaring a billion dollar loss on his taxes, you damn fool!

Trump's response was to say it made him smart.

When the hildabitch accused him of not paying taxes during the debate, his reply was that makes me smart. All I've seen him say about the loss is he followed the law. So I guess that does make him smart, to use the tools made available to keep his business going. Of course you folks wouldn't think of doing such a thing, RIGHT?

BTW Do you know who signed the extension of the net operating loss deduction form 7 to 15 years? Yep, the sexual abuser himself, the hildabitches hubby, wild willie.

I have a long record on this forum of opposing tax expenditures. It's my thing. And people like Trump are exactly why I oppose them.

The reason Trump's tax return was discussed during the debate is because of the New York Times story which reported his billion dollar blowout and subsequent tax deduction. Other taxpayers had to make up the difference for the taxes Trump didn't pay.

Trump always tries to make his failures look like successes. That's why I had to simplify it for the rubes into an allegory about a drunk driver crashing his car into and tree, and then claiming that because he got a check from GEICO he is smart.

Losing a billion dollars during an economic boom (which happened during the Clinton years, too, by the way) does not make you smart, nor does writing down that you lost a billion dollars make you smart.

It makes you a massive loser who wiped out your investors.

Filling out a tax form correctly does not make you smart, either. Millions of Americans do that every year. And because Trump failed and then got to zero out his taxes by using breaks for the wealthy, a lot of middle class taxpayers are going to have to make up the difference for Trump's huge failure.

Trump's failure wiped out all his investors.

A lot of middle class taxpayers had to make up the difference for Trump's deductions caused by his huge failure.

He lost money while the rest of the country was booming.

There isn't a single smart thing about it. All Trump can claim to his credit is that his accountants correctly filled out a tax return.

When I was on a business trip in Las Vegas years ago, I took one of my associates by the arm and pointed at the massive Caesar's Palace structure.

"That didn't get built by people losing!", I said.

I didn't drop so much as a quarter on gambling in Vegas. I detest Vegas and all it stands for. It is the epitome of evil. They even pride themselves on being "Sin City"!

Now...

Someone please explain the special genius that is Donald Trump who was able to LOSE a billion dollars on a casino.

Seriously. How much of a dumbass do you have to be to lose money on a casino? The House has the edge!

I play in Reno where you win and if liberals knew anything about gambling then you never play where the idiots play!

Heh. I made an error in my OP. What I actually said to my associate was, "That didn't get built by people winning!"

D'oh!

From the transcripts:

CLINTON: Well, I think you’ve seen another example of bait-and- switch here. For 40 years, everyone running for president has released their tax returns. You can go and see nearly, I think, 39, 40 years of our tax returns, but everyone has done it. We know the IRS has made clear there is no prohibition on releasing it when you’re under audit.

So you’ve got to ask yourself, why won’t he release his tax returns? And I think there may be a couple of reasons. First, maybe he’s not as rich as he says he is. Second, maybe he’s not as charitable as he claims to be.

CLINTON: Third, we don’t know all of his business dealings, but we have been told through investigative reporting that he owes about $650 million to Wall Street and foreign banks. Or maybe he doesn’t want the American people, all of you watching tonight, to know that he’s paid nothing in federal taxes, because the only years that anybody’s ever seen were a couple of years when he had to turn them over to state authorities when he was trying to get a casino license, and they showed he didn’t pay any federal income tax.

TRUMP: That makes me smart.
