It's Official. No Obama nominee

Watch this video of Biden's rule and drop your objection to McConnel's decision. Only fools will continue your bitching.

Biden was the Senate Leader at the time? No he wasn't. McConnell showed his obstructionist hand long before Obama even thought about making an appointment. And the voters wonder why NOTHING is getting done in Congress...

Appointment after confirmation. Which is (two thirds of the Senators present concur)
Reading comprehension is a bitch, ain't it, PMH?

Just to point out...

You might want to read the Constitution.

The 2/3rds requirement applies to treaties, not the confirmation of public officials.

>>>>
This is the part you are refusing to accept:
2: He shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur; and he shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by Law: but the Congress may by Law vest the Appointment of such inferior Officers, as they think proper, in the President alone, in the Courts of Law, or in the Heads of Departments."
Notice where it says: "and he shall nominate, and by and with THE FUCKING CONSENT!!!!!!! of the Senate shall appoint.......................Judges of the supreme court........".
You REALLY are a fucking idiot!
It's as plain as the black on Obama's face.

Why would anyone beleive a word spoken by the Kentucky Liar? He is nearly as prolific a liar as Cankles.

That's what it says

No, it says that 2/3rds are required to consent to a treaty (bold below). that's the first clause. The second clause (underlined below) has to do with Public Officials (Ambassadors, Public Ministers, Judges of the Supreme Court, etc.), they are a simple majority.

"He shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur; and he shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by Law: but the Congress may by Law vest the Appointment of such inferior Officers, as they think proper, in the President alone, in the Courts of Law, or in the Heads of Departments."

>>>>
Section 2 contains only one clause. Note the first sentence. '; and' does not constitute the beginning of a second clause.
The first sentence lays out the "consent" provision. Nowhere in Section 2 are the words: "simple majority".
Wise up. You're making a fool of yourself.

Apparently they think so. I wonder what the rest of the country will think.
Do you think the Democrats won't vote for our Repulican Senators? Yow that hurts.
There are more GOP senators up for reelection than Democrats....Would be interesting to see what happens when the "GOP is the party of Do-Nothings" ads start hitting.
You don't understand the GOP electorate.
The GOP electorate alone doesn't win elections. Perhaps you've forgotten that.

Done pretty good so far.....even took a senate seat in CO.
Ooooooo! One seat. I'm impressed!

Holy crap on a cracker.

And you call others stupid.

Shall we pull out a 200 year old list of the # of SCJ's confirmed by a simple majority or less than 2/3rds?

This is basic stuff man.

Let him keep talking....:dig:

That's right. The Senate has just officially ruled they will not even consider any Obama SCJ nominee.
This means President Trump and his REP majority Senate will be able to choose, during President Trump's two terms about 5-6 REP SCJ's.
This will fundamentally affect the social direction of America for decades!
To GOD be the praise!
GOP Judiciary: No hearing on Obama court nominee
How did your "phone and pen" work out for you asshole?
If you hadn't acted like the piece of shit you are you may have had more cooperation across the aisle.
Hillary just got news today a judge has questioned her motive for having a secret private server hidden in her bathroom closet.
I give Hillary a couple of weeks before she drops out for 'health reasons'. Leaving Bernie to go against Trump.
Blame Debbie. She was the one who told Biden and Warren to piss off. "Theirs services were not required".

cool. the loons just guaranteed a huge democratic turn out and a democratic senate and president.

You all have guaranteed that the last three cycles. How'd that turn out?...lol

you mean the two out of three where dems turned out in numbers...the races that were presidential races? this president never had coattails. the next one will.

you missing something here?

like i said... keep doing it.

No I mean every election cycle since Obama got elected. You know, where Republicans won elections, every time?

It says "and with the Advise and Consent". That means they give their permission. It is not mandated by the President.
But they aren't offering their Advice and Consent, now are they?

Since they aren't doing their duty, maybe Obama should just skip the part they are refusing to do?

Of course they giving advice and they advise that they aren't going to let Obama have his nominee.

Eternal chin McConnell hurt his party when he announced there would be no consideration.

How so?

McConnell proved that the GOP are bald faced obstructionist.
Yeah...they're obstructing Obama's communist agenda, which is what the people want.

The Republicans will become known as the Do-Nothing Party.

And that's fine, because most Americans don't want a nanny state.

but they are doing something

Exactly right! They're blocking Obama's commie agenda.

you know, it's getting really boring hearing idiots call things communism or socialism when they are too uneducated and ignorant to know what those economic concepts are.

moron... why don't' you just call him black which is really what you mean.
It's no mere coincidence that McConnell and the Republican Senators who are determined to not let Obama fulfill his Constitutional obligations are comprised of 8 out of 9 Senators from former slave states with the other three from states that were not yet admitted into the country when the confederacy seceded.

Awwww, look! The race card...lol

Its really all you have, ain't it...LMAO!

It's as plain as the black on Obama's face.

This will end up egg on the GOPs face when it comes time for voting in November. If the GOP were smart, what they would do is let Obama nominate whomever he wants to, THEN hold hearings on the person and they could reject that person straight out if they wanted to.

Instead what the GOP is coming off as is obstructionists and during the election that is exactly what the ads will say against them. It will cost them seats in the senate as well as the presidency. Clearly the GOP isn't smart at all. The GOP is going for the nutter vote and it will cost them dearly in the end.

Oh and just to make sure there is any question of civility to you, there isn't. Fuck off you idiot!

It will with those that aren't in the base of the GOP or Dems. And that is basically who will decide the election in congress. If the senate goes to the Dems and the presidency goes to the Dems, the GOP is screwed.

Listen you racist fuck.

I'm not saying they have to approve of Obama's noiminee, but their job is to have hearings and provide and up/down vote. The Senate Leadership putting a stop to ANY proceedings is not the action of the Senate (which is what the Constitution calls for), it is the action of the Majority Leadership (which is not what the Constitution calls for).

Here's some nice bedtime reading for all you Hillary sycophants:
Judge threatens subpoena against Hillary Clinton over emails
Blame Debbie. You could have had an excellent chance with Biden and Warren.
Debbie told them to piss off. Hillary was Debbie's only choice.
Indictments yet?
When Trump is in office there will be.
Ah...so you think Trump will "cook" the investigation. Interesting.
No, he will have an attorney general that will actually investigate. Not cover up.
