It’s Time for an Outright Ban on the Promotion of Atheism.

Again, the Milgram effect. If those in authority assure people that the greatest wrong is really okay, two-thirds of the population will automatically fall into line and do wrong. It is human nature's reaction to authority figures, and we all ought to be aware of it. Always look closely into anything anyone in authority says. My rule of thumb is to use Donald Duck.

Donald Duck says abortion is okay. Does that sound like something a duck would say, or would you consider that a smart remark coming from a duck? A duck is not in a position of authority, so two-thirds (the majority) will not automatically go along with him.

Any decision the Supreme Court, Congress, or the President makes, change to Donald Duck came to a decision. The ruling is....
Nobody wants an abortion. It's not sport. No authority figure will coerce you to have an abortion.

Except there are people who have an abortion as easily as you or I would go through the McDonald's drive-thru.

The point is, that if an authority figure says it is okay, the Milgram effect is in play, and two-thirds will make a decision they might not otherwise consider. Once you have the majority agreeing (and the Milgram effect assures that you will) more abortions will occur.

My point is, we have to be really careful of how we humans are affected by authority figures. How often do we hear of forming individual consciences these days? It seems authority figures want to be our conscience. Is that a good thing?

Basically I think it's bullshit.

Notice nothing in your commentary about the baby human being kept 'safe'. And that's where your argument errs.
I cant see where. Only loons are against abortion because they hate women or they have been groomed by dickheads like you.

And that affects your life how, exactly?
You do not think millions of abortions over the last few decades had no change on America? If unwanted babies can be prevented by abortion, why not unwanted lives ended by euthanasia? Did easy abortion have anything to do with the increase in recreational sex of all kinds, which of course increase pornography and the acceptance of that to the point that child porn is a great industry. Sure, I can blissfully go about my day, living in total ignorance of government pretty much closing their eyes to child porn and the pain it entails.
Still, I can stay in my safe place because I am not doing any of that. What a thrill to ignore the quote that muses, No man is an island... that when one hurts we all hurt, we are all interconnected with each other. No one is self sustaining, we all rely on each other.

Do you think sex is only for procreation? If that were the case we'd probably go into heat like other mammals.

Unfortunately, the founders didn't foresee atheism would be declared a religion by the Supreme Court, and that it would become the de facto religion of the country by default. That's why the First Amendment needs to be amended; to accomodate for that miscalculation.

The true effect of the First Amendment has been "Atheism will be the established religion of the United States". Few Americans would want that. And that's how it needs to be presented to them.

:cuckoo:

Then there's reality. That would be the realm where you actually have no idea whatsoever what the Founders foresaw.

Again, they fought to get away from a theocracy. We're not returning to one just to satisfy nutjobs like you.

The federal government is currently forcing Catholics and every other taxpayer to pay for abortion, which is a godless (atheist) practice.

That's a lie. Other than rare cases of rape, incest or to save the life of the pregnant woman, tax dollars do not fund abortions thanks to the Hyde Amendment.

Do you want help greasing that slope? If a woman wants an abortion, she should be able to get one.
As for euthanasia, I'm firmly in favour of Medically Assisted Death.

It's said the founding fathers studied all sorts of consultative models.. even the Muslim Majlis. They were careful about this religious freedom concept.
