You would be very wrong in judging Orthodox Jews (a people of whom I know you have precious little knowledge) as anti-vaccination or anti-health.

Actually, that traditional migration, which consisted of decidedly NON-orthodox Jews like my grandparents, dried up sometime in the '80s when the Miami, south Florida crime-rate began to skyrocket.

It consisted mostly of New York, New England Jews sick of the winters, looking for nice climate and reasonable real-estate.
