You would be correct if we had 7% unemployment. Butt the fact remains we have more jobs now than Americans to fill them. How many more new jobs do we need? How many more can we create?

Yet you still can't get a job that pays health insurance.. how is that?

When you're at the bottom, the only way you can go is up. When you're at the top, the only way to go is down. Trump is fighting the downward resistance. It's a hell of a lot easier to create jobs when you're at the bottom than at the top.

Actually, Trump has nothing to do with it. He inherited less than 5% unemployment when he took office, and he is at a unique point in the job market.

That unique point being that the Baby Boomers are retiring at a greater rate than there are new workers to replace them. Complicate that further by the fact that employers really didn't want to invest anything in training and development during the last few decades.

Not to worry, though, with his trade wars, he'll drive the country into recession soon enough...

Um, no, you see, what you don't get is that everything is a balance.

When the Fed slashes interest rates, the people who that screws are folks who have money in the bank, people who are living on fixed incomes and are kind of counting on that interest money to carry them over.

When you are only getting a 1% return on your savings and inflation is 3%, then you aren't really doing that well.

This might be good for people who borrow money, but it sucks for people who lend money.

That the Fed is so panicky right now they are slashing rates to keep Trump's Trade Wars from pushing us into a recession should frighten you.

Yes, we're slowing down, clearly, although most Trumpsters refuse to admit it.

And yes, the Fed needs to decrease rates, although there is growing concern that the Fed no longer has the sway it used to. Markets will be pissed if the next drop is not 50bps, so pretending the economy is great or strong is pure fantasy.

The point here is that the Trumpster above, either out of ignorance or dishonesty (or both, I guess) is pretending that such measures would only be precautionary. Mixed in, as usual, with her standard grade school level personal insults.
