John Bolton Says Reelection Is ‘Only Thing That Mattered’ To Trump

The former national security adviser says the president has no problem “endangering or weakening the nation” if it helps him win reelection.

Former national security adviser John Bolton claims in his forthcoming book that every decision President Donald Trump has made in office has been “driven by reelection calculations.”

Bolton’s publisher, Simon & Schuster, shared the remarks Friday in a news release promoting the book, which details Bolton’s year and a half working for Trump. The president fired Bolton in September.

“I am hard-pressed to identify any significant Trump decision during my tenure that wasn’t driven by reelection calculations,” Bolton writes, saying he was often “astonished” by Trump’s singular motivation.

Bolton, one of the most controversial figures in American foreign policy, described Trump as a “president for whom getting reelected was the only thing that mattered, even if it meant endangering or weakening the nation.”

“Trump’s Ukraine-like transgressions existed across the full range of his foreign policy — and Bolton documents exactly what those were, and attempts by him and others in the Administration to raise alarms about them,” the Simon & Schuster news release states.

Bolton’s book, “The Room Where It Happened,” is scheduled for release June 23.

Not a surprise. Trump makes it obvious in everything he does that reelection is the only thing that matters to him. What do you think?
No different from any other politician, in particular Ears was no different.

Ok, you stuck your big fat face into this: How did Obama endanger the country in his bid to win in 2012?
Lol. He got four Americans murdered in Benghazi and then he lied about it. Imagine want you would say if Donnie did that.

Bolton is a warmonger who believes anytime you don't threaten to launch nuclear ICBMs that you don't care about national security. That's why he's gone.

Good point. What would you say if Donnie destroyed thousands of government emails, multiple cell phones, and computer servers? I think I know.

He did that in 2016 when he made that shitty deal with Iran.

Trump has had to take some of the swampers. And he has gotten rid of people including some non swampers. He has kept us out of war in which swampers like. He has not destroyed nations like Obama/Hillary did and he probably is not totally innocent in the foreign affair game. The amount of money that every nation pays for defense treaties practically everyone in our nation has had an opinion on that we needed reforms. But Trump becomes President and the damn breaks loose that it seems they should pay less. The euros are snobs and do not care for the Ugly Americans who visit but sure want the money. The Africans have mixed feelings about African Americans. There is no love fest there. Presidents want to be reelected. It validates them if not for many in the nation, for their voters and for them.

Butthurt Bolton.

So angry yet he wouldn't resign. :muahaha:

Ambassador Bolton is someone who really loves war.

He just doesn't understand why President Trump doesn't feel the same way.

Oh, there is little doubt about that. Bolton wanting to bomb here, there, who knows where else.

There is a lot of money in war, and Bolton and his clique want their share of the loot.

Bolton should have spoken out during the House and Senate impeachment hearings.
now all of the sudden Bolton is a truth teller after the left wing loons called him every name in the book when he worked Bush and first worked for Trump. Take a hike.

You wouldn't have liked to have heard what he had to say?
Nobody is saying he is a truth teller.
You are. You're a chicken just like all the Republicans who are turning on your own, eating your own, all for Trump.
Trump over country.
Cluck-cluck.

Bolton can state his opinion. As for the rest of your rant, take 2 aspirin and call Dr. Soros in the morning.

I think he sounds like every other politician.

You mean other presidents inquired about injecting disinfectant for curing viruses?
Other presidents tear-gassed protesters for photo ops?
Other presidents have had over 60 people resign or terminated in their first term?
Wow, I need to catch up!

Oh you're one of the lazy dumber ones......Soros is your fucking reason and excuse for everything.
Beats actually having to THINK, though, doesn't it?

The marxist dims shitstains like to hate on someone for years until that someone throws them a crumb.... then they'll grovel at their feet and proceed to eat the corn out of their shit for that crumb.

Dignity and the Dim cult are mutually exclusive.
