If Manafort wasn't connected to the case for Russia collusion, then how was Mueller justified in doing anything to or against Manafort under the guidelines of the probe into collusion ?? I can understand if Mueller stumbled across something while checking records or questioning a possible suspect in the case, otherwise to then refer that matter to the DOJ for further investigation into the suspect as an unrelated matter not related to the case at hand, but not him take it on himself.

Mueller has no right what so ever to go off track from the original charge given him by those who had appointed him to investigate the specific charge of collusion. No collusion, no charge. The taxpayers deserve better than the corruption that we are dealing with in Washington, and our tax money should be used in a more transparent way than this crock of bullcrap that is going on.

Mueller isn't in charge of the DOJ, the FBI, the Supreme Court nor should he be. He has been appointed to investigate a charge of collusion based on his prior service as an investigator, and if stumbles across anything unrelated to his specific charge, he then must refer that to the justice Dept for them to investigate the matter as a separate issue as was found in which is again unrelated to the original charge Mueller had been appointed to investigate.

Had you actually read the OP you would have seen that Mueller has a memo from Rosenstein specifically authorizing him to investigate Manafort's Ukraine connections.

the problem with that.... is that President Trump said that the letter he ASKED Rosenstein to write, had nothing to do with why he fired Comey....therefore it is not a conflict of interest.

If President Trump had stuck with his initial "story" that he was firing Comey because of what Rosenstein and Sessions had written up for him,

then there would be a straight up conflict of interest with Rosenstein in the possible Obstruction of Justice case against President Trump....but NOT in the Russian Influence Investigation.

Yet, since President Trump told the Russian envoy in the Oval Office, and Lester Holt, that he was the one who made the decision and he was the one who was going to fire Comey anyway, because of the Russia Investigation....

Regardless of the mistakes made by all or the confusion in it all as created by all parties, it all comes back to this - .No collusion, means no obstruction and no criminal or political activity to sway or throw an election. Until appeals are exhausted, no judges ruling is validated until then. We don't have dictator judges ruling the benches. Judges can be outed as political hacks, political activist, and they can be found to be politically motivated thus tainting their rulings under review. Some judges if found in agredious violation of their oaths, can and should be barred for their activism.

So far, everyone Mueller has charged, has plead guilty, except Manafort and the Russians, so I’m guessing that Mueller must have had pretty compelling evidence against them. Flynn, Gates, Papadopoulos, the Dutch lawyer currently in jail, and the west coast guy who helped the Russians steal identities - all guilty.

A judge will have to determine this, and at some point this case should be forced before the judge in order to force this bullcrap into the light for all to see.
