Ironicly enough…? The band”Live”… Was one of the best bands I’ve seen actually “live….

They were amazing but that was nearly 60 years ago when they hit their peak.
Not only that but bands back then were nearly guaranteed success if they got airplay because the music industry was gated by the publishers. Now ANY band can make it big. Granted the level of success is typically much lower because the sheer amount of competition now vs then is insane.

ed sullivan is what made them big. but what made them sustain was the fact that they played their own instruments, they sang, they wrote their own songs along with covering other artists - AND others covered them.
