Really? So violent liberal protests that caused millions of dollars in damage and went on for months...protests that damaged Federal buildings and injured thousands of Police officers...THOSE are no big deal but a violent protest that lasted less than one day...at a building that sustained so little damage that it was back operating the very next day...THAT is a protest that needs to be punished severely? There is a difference when one is arrested for protesting and looting in a city compared to one that does it on federal land and the nations capitol building

If you think we have Representatives in Congress you’re on drugs.Ok, let’s compare and contrast shall we?
Let’s say that the Portland Rioters had gotten everything they wished for. Hell, lets say that they destroyed the entire city. I’m talking burned to the ground. Somehow they even made it so unlivable that there was no way to rebuild the city. What happens to the nation when one of a thousand medium to large sized cities is destroyed? The answer, nothing. Zip. Zilch. Nada.
The country would continue running fine. Hell Oregon where Portland is located had pretty much zero real problems through the state.
That is if the Rioters were 100% successful in destroying the city. Literally nothing would happen to the Nation. We would continue on as we were. We would continue on growing food, transporting grain, unloading and loading ships. All of it would be unaffected. It wouldn’t affect anyone outside of Portland, and that is something that is reasonably normal. It happens with natural disasters all the time. People in Oregon were not affected when Hurricane Andrew flattened half of South Florida.
Now, let’s say that the people at the Capital were only half successful on January 6. They managed to kill several elected people, like Nancy Pelosi, and the like. Hell, let’s say they were totally successful and managed to get Trump installed as President. What happens to the Nation?
It dies on that day. It dies and is never recovered. The Constitution ceases to have meaning. We end up in a Dictatorship. We end up in a piss ant third world shithole where the laws are written in pencil. We end up in the Novella’s written by Franz Kafka.
So if we are going to compare and contrast, we have to be honest. We have to admit that the 1-6 Rioters were not merely expressing outrage. They were determined to overthrow the elected Government of the United States.
How exactly is that the same? How can you look at those two events and say they are the same?
What makes you think the goal of the protesters at the Capital was to kill Nancy Pelosi or anyone else? They were there to protest what they viewed as a fraudulent election. This notion that they were there to topple the government is the narrative that the Democratic Party and the liberal media has been pushing...it has ZERO to do with reality! Congress was back in session the very next day. Those protesters did ZERO physical harm to a single member of Congress! In reality they did very little damage to the Capital building itself. It was a protest...not a coup...despite the best efforts of the left to turn it into one!Ok, let’s compare and contrast shall we?
