Keystone is over

It ain't over until the fat lady sings.

TransCanada in September signaled it was shifting its strategy when it dropped state legal challenges and efforts to seize land in Nebraska for the pipeline. Company officials hoped those moves would extend the review process in Washington—perhaps until a potential Republican administration in 2017 would approve the project—while details on the Nebraska portion of the route were worked out.

TransCanada Requests Suspension of U.S. Permit for Keystone XL Pipeline

Get ready, Republicans will be on their 'this is the end of western civilization and the US is not a great nation anymore and we need to blah blah whine cry snivel blownose vomit blame-MSNBC the-end-is-near god's-wrath tour'.

I still can't believe how the Republicans botched Keystone

They took a low priority public works project that nobody cared about and turned it into a political showdown with the President

Someone had to win, someone had to lose....Republicans lost

Now the crude will be transferred into the US by trains and tankers.

At least until the next Republican President.
Well unless we further cut our dependency on fossil fuels.
Without petroleum you'd be sending fucking smoke signals to converse with others instead of using your 286 PC.

undeniably true

probably would be sitting half naked

and no heart medication ta boot

Burning Fossil Fuels seems to bit ridiculous. We are mired in old technology for one reason, oil companies have managed to usurp the political process. Energy technology has stagnated for the last century or so.

And people like you support that. You still seem to think that Computer companies are still manufacturing 286 pcs.

We have much faster CPUs now.

Catch up.

I am glad its over. You could NEVER get me to agree with eminent domain for a FOREIGN FOR-PROFIT company.
However, like TD said, it is a fools party.
They have been using Keystone for a couple years now.

If Republicans had included Keystone in a comprehensive public works bill meant to provide millions of jobs, it would have been approved in a minute

Instead, they used it as a means to have a political showdown with the President....they lost
