Now it's absolutely clear that fears of civil war in Ukraine become more and more real. And the only way to prevent the bloodshed in this 46-million deeply divided country is to follow the voice of most Ukrainian citizens, who ask to hold a referendum on autonomization of a number of country's regions before oncoming elections there. The more so as there are a lot of examples in the very Europe, when states successfully existed on the principles of federalism over rather long term, solving all disagreements by way of peaceful negotiations, as it was, for instance, in the former Czechoslovakia, where even dissolution happened absolutely bloodlessly in 1992!
Maybe, it would be better for Kiev to study such historic experiments more attentively in order to avoid bloody lessons of Yugoslav breakup, eh?
