Was Lee Harvey Crooks seen walking around the Butler area with an AR-15 leading up to the shooting?

From what Ive seen and heard, he was apparently NOT see with the AR-15 while walking around the grounds

If that’s true the rifle must have been placed on the roof already

Does anyone know?

Crooks was there several days before. He likely placed the rifle on the roof stashed there (maybe in a bag matching the roof color) to hide it.

He bought a ladder the day before but apparently did not need it and found his way up using an air conditioner.

Crooks was caught with a rangefinder the day of the rally, detected by a metal detector, despite that, they left Crooks go on his way. No doubt he used it to help gauge windage and distance to help him better aim his shots.

Hey twit--- why don't you ask NY Post? My guess is that the pictures were taken looking out through a window in a nearby building and those things you see are reflections on the glass from inside.
