Depends what you mean by "nationalist". The Arab Spring countries were all "nationalist " movements that president Hussein supported and they all (except one or two like Egypt) turned into Islamist countries or failed terrorist states. What seems to be a nationalist movement is actually a plot to remove the regime in power and replace it with one that could be worse for the people and the world. Iran's Islamic Revolution in 1979 was a "nationalist" movement, but Khomeini killed and exiled the Marxist students who led the revolution.
