While some Christians are critical of the dangerous homosexual lifestyle, forgiveness and respect for life are central to Jesus' teachings.

The result of the Matthew Shepard killing was hate crime legislation. I'm not sure why murdering an elderly women in the course of a robbery is less serious than killing a homosexual man.

By calling liberals evil, and by calling homosexuals evil, we conservatives make it easier for people to commit murder.

Think of all the hate spewed by those maladjusted internet atheist fanatics. Should they be condemned?

This is why religion - any religion - is so dangerous. Because it's easier for stupid violent morons to kill what they think is evil.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Prosecutors say a Virginia man who planned a mass killing at the Washington headquarters of a conservative Christian lobbying group should spend 45 years in prison for his plot.

Prosecutors filed a court document Friday that recommends the 45-year sentence for Floyd Corkins II.

A security guard subdued Corkins in the lobby of the Family Research Council in August after he pointed a pistol at the man. Corkins fired three shots, and the guard was the only one wounded. Corkins, who was carrying nearly 100 rounds of ammunition and 15 Chick-fil-A sandwiches, later told authorities that he had planned to kill as many people as possible and then to smear the sandwiches on their faces as a political statement.

Gov't seeks 45 years for attack on Christian group

The guy is obviously a major slimeball. And he did injure one person, failing to kill him only by the grace of God.

But the fact remains that he didn't kill anybody.

45 years seems a little extreme.
