The "Swift-boating" Of Tim Walz is coming...

He "retired" the second he found out they were deploying to a war zone.

And then he lied and claimed he had served in a war zone.
As usual, you're FOS.

According to records by the National Guard, the 1st Battalion of the 125th Field Artillery received an alert order on July 14, 2005, – two months after Walz retired. The mobilization order came in August and the unit mobilized in October.

Walz retired in May.

Ummm, dumbass, the notification that you are going to be deployed comes months before the actual movement orders come.

Sheesh you're stupid.

And the paperwork to retire comes months, sometimes as much as 14 months, before you actually retire.

And you claim to have been a Marine yet don't know the sequencing....

My friends in the Guard here in Nevada knew six months before deployment that they were going. The only question was where.

Unless you retire early, which walz did. No one had EVER contracted to take the CSM course, completed it, and then retired before the required commitment to attend was completed.

Walz is the only person in the history of the Army to have done that.

Huh....

And did not leave for Iraq till March of 2006.
A good timeline...........

  • May 2005: Walz officially retires from the Minnesota National Guard after 24 years of service, according to documents posted online that appear to be his NGB Form 22, a Report of Separation and Record of Service. Walz previously retired after 20 years of service but returned to service after Sept. 11, he wrote in a Winona Daily News opinion piece, re-enlisting for four years. However, his NGB Form 22 indicates his “terminal reserve/military service obligation” date was September 2007.
  • July 2005: The 125th Field Artillery Regiment receives initial call-up orders and, that fall, deploys for training in Mississippi as part of the 34th Infantry Divisions’ 1st Brigade Combat Team.
  • March 2006: The 125th deploys to Iraq, 10 months after Walz had separated from the unit. The unit will not return until September 2007.

Ask your friend in the Guard how long it takes retirement paperwork to be processed and all the hoops to jump though to be completed.

When I retired I was told to submit my paperwork 14 months before I actually wanted to get out to ensure there was time for it to be processed and approved and I did all the things required for retiring.

Ahhhh, look at little Aldo Raine lying for his little fascist compadre!

So cute!

It doesn't matter. Walz signed up for the CSM course, completed it, then, instead of deploying to Iraq he suddenly retired. Thus losing his promotion to CSM, and reverting back DOWN to Master Sgt.

But, by all means, keep flailing trying to cover for a stolen valor asshole.

It is my understanding that he did not complete it, which is why he was reverted back down to MSgt.

He did not "suddenly retire" you have been given the time line. It is not actually possible to "suddenly retire" from the military as the paperwork takes far too long to happen along with a lot of hoops to jump through.

But, by all means, keep flailing trying to cover for a stolen valor asshole.

Retiring from the military does not equal stolen valor.

You would have a far more valid point if you would call out him claiming he carried a weapon of war in a war. But I guess you have not gotten your new talking points email yet.

Sheesh you're stupid.

Except that "warning orders" really don't mean that much. It only says you MIGHT be deployed. For instance, my guard unit received a "warning order" in 1990 that we might be mobilized for the Gulf War.

Nothing actually changed.

Yeah.......... months.......

You're a MORON.
Those are the movement orders coming in you boob. The Army knows who is going to be deployed a year in advance and notifies those units top brass so they can start getting the logistics train going to bring the unit up to full readiness. That takes months. Like I said, Aldo Raine.

You're a dumbass.

You're a dumbass.
I was an administrative specialist for the 95th Division Maneuver Training Command, we cut the orders for mobilization and no orders came through a year in advance for activations.

Yeah, they had months warning prior to that, dumbass.
