"A $615,862 bet has been placed on Hillary Clinton to win the election—the biggest bet ever staked on any U.S. presidential election.

British bookmaker William Hill announced on Friday that the bet had been made for €550,000. A 46-year-old female client placed the amount on Clinton becoming President at odds of 4/11, or a 73% chance of success, in the hope of making a profit of around $224,000."

Smart idea or bad idea?

He may very well win, but that does not mean it's not a bad idea. If that is most of his wealth, then it is definitely a bad idea. If the guy is a multi-millionaire or billionaire and that is only chump change, then it's not so bad.

Not coincidentally, the British odds for Hillary winning the election are the exact same odds they have listed for America going down the drain.

You should only bet what you can afford to lose. I think it’s a sound bet but if that is the nest-egg; bad idea.

Just out of curiosity, was the man who placed the bet Donald Trump?

Trump used aliases before to crank call reporters. I’m pretty sure he’s the one betting against himself….that would explain quite a bit about his “campaign”

She's not getting very good odds for her bet. The bookkeeper is taking advantage of her.

When you have your own jet, maybe you can question his wealth. Hillary has to get Obama to jet her around on our dime.
