SAN ANTONIO, Feb. 26— Eleven Branch Davidians were acquitted of all murder and conspiracy charges today in the deaths of 4 of the 76 Federal agents who raided their compound near Waco almost exactly a year ago.


Seven of the 11 were convicted on lesser charges while four were acquitted of all charges after a trial in which most of the defendants argued that they had acted in fright and self-defense. None of those convicted face more than 10 years in prison.


The jury's verdict amounted to a stunning defeat not only for the Justice Department, which prosecuted the case, but for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, the Federal agency that planned and conducted a raid that turned into one of the most disastrous law-enforcement operations in the nation's history.
