First note I am not in favor of the Jan 6th riot. I have no problem with peaceful demonstrations but abhor violent riots.

However Jan 6th was NOT an insurrection. An insurrection requires firepower. The rioters were not armed. Plus it looks like some Feds were instigating the rioters.

Plenty of Republicans want to make sure Trump is never in the Oval Office again. He might drain the Swamp with a vengeance and many Republicans are corrupt Swamp critters.
