McDonalds Introduces Self Serving Kiosks in Response to Min Wage Increase

You keep looking from a microeconomic (individual person or company) view.....Yes, a small percentage of low wage workers can find better jobs
But from a macroeconomic (whole country) view, our economy does not have enough "better paying jobs" for low wage workers to move into. Those jobs used to be in manufacturing and construction....but there are not 30 million of those jobs out there
Starting a small business is not a solution for most burger flippers. Even with highly qualified entrepreneurs, most small businesses fail

So your "work harder and find a better job" solution does little to solve the problem of low wage workers needing government assistance

I never said anything about a better job I said that people can work more than 40 hours a week if they have to in order to pay their bills.

Again...another simplistic solution to a serious problem

Do you think there are enough additional hours available for 30 million people?

Do you think 30 million people are actually looking for extra hours?

They are not. You are being simplistic thinking they are.

And why is it you think that they have to work a job for someone else when there countless ways to earn extra money on your own initiative?

These are your "solutions"

Over the past few years job growth has been slightly under 200,000 a month....that is 33 million labor hours a month added to the economy
For 30 million workers getting just one additional hour would be 30 million hours

how many of those 30 million are looking for more hours?

that's a question you seem to be dodging
capitalism has a natural rate of unemployment.

only the national socialist, right wing, never gets it.

no you are only unemployed if you choose to be.

only idiots like you don't realize that you don't have to work for someone else

why would You need to care, if You can find a job easier, that may even pay a bonus?
And who is paying you to jerk off all day at mama's house?
should we care what the rich do for a living? how hard do they work? how many actually pay, personal income taxes.

why only blame the poor, national and socialist, right winger?

47% of all people pay no income taxes. the top 10 percent of earners pay more than the bottom 50% combined so just who do tyou think is paying income taxes?

IDGAF what anyone does for a living as long as they don't expect me to pay their bills
How much personal income tax did Mr. Trump pay? How many benefits has he gotten for the Trump Organization based on tax breaks or other "benefits"?

Don't know don't care. He filed his taxes and paid what he was legally obligated to pay

how much did you pay ?
lol. what i was legally obligated to pay; like the poor usually do.

don't be lazy; work hard, just like the poor.
you mean "the poor" who don't want to work more than 40 hours a week ?

You assume there are additional hours available to our 30 million working poor
Got any stats to support that?

Anyone can find extra work if they want to.
will it be "worth the effort" or cost more in the long run?

Cost who?

Work does not cost the employee anything.

It costs them part of their life

no it doesn't since they get reimbursed for their time

tell me if you sell something you got for nothing did it cost you?

It certainly isn't our President

so what? when you stop taking all the legal tax deductions available to you then you can whine about that

The 47% you are complaining about are also taking legal tax deductions

It is your simplistic solution. If 30 million people need government assistance because of low pay...they should just work extra hours

I have demonstrated to you that the "extra hours" are not there even if all 30 million wanted to work them

Show me the numbers where 150 million working Americans could be self employed if they chose. You make wild claims without considering that our economy....nobodies economy..is capable of meeting those claims
Only a small percentage of Americans are self employed. Most new businesses fail

You struggled at math as a kid didn't you?

There are not enough "extra hours" to get low wage workers off of government assistance
There are not enough "start your own business" opportunities to get them off government assistance

The numbers are not there to support your economic fantasies

Not me; it is the national socialist right wing, that habitually blames the poor for not paying any taxes, even though they pay what they are legally obligated to pay.

California had to legalize recreational pot, to make that happen.
