If they wanted to reduce spending, they would have done it before the Republicans took over Congress. But it's Republicans that had to fight the Democrats to reduce spending. The sequester, the shutdown of government, losing our three star credit rating for the first time in our history all had to do with Republicans fighting Democrats because they wanted to spend less and the Democrats wanted to spend more.

Paul Ryan is that he has groups on the far right and the center diametrically opposed to each other in the GOP on this issue. The center will combine with the Dems to defeat any attempt to change medicaid.
