Venezuela is a marxist state that doesn't allow for any "private" market and just does stupid shit as it favors one group over another to hold onto power. To compare most European or successful Asian countries to Venezuela is a sign of ill-education in the subject.

America as been a social democracy throughout nearly all of its history as it has always had a public sector of some sort and at least some centralized controls. I am a supporter of capitalism and I believe that a individual should be able to start a business and make it big, but I don't believe they should be able to mistreat people or have shitty standards that end up killing people. We're much better off as a nation for our hybrid system. Most of the benefits of the past 120 years is because of this reality.

Look at how Apple treats their asian work force to understand why I oppose unregulated capitalism.
