I went to Google and learned that Mitch has championed democracy in Burma for decades. He even got sanctions put on Burma when its military arrested their democratically elected leader and put her in prison for most of 20 years. Now it looks like the fascists are at it again.

According to the military, voter irregularities in the polls is their reason for taking over despite only winning 6% themselves. - See what Trump has started.

I think the real reason is the Genocide Trial in the Haig will demand that certain Generals stand trial and if under a civilian government that could happen. I don't think it is just a coincidence that the General now in power is the same one that ordered the attacks on the Rohingyas.

Biden is going to push for a unified economic hit from countries who are big players in Burma's economy. He'll use the UN if he can. He's not going to send us to war.
