'Moderate' John Kasich Just Defunded Planned Parenthood In Ohio

PP kills babies and then makes money selling their body parts. They should be shut down and their leaders jailed.

With the advent of ACA (ObamaCare), women can get all the services they need, at a regular medical clinic or hospital or doctor's office, that they formerly received at these chop-shops...

And a great deal more...

Now that everybody has Obumblecare, it may be reasonably argued that Planned Parenthood has outlived its usefulness, and that such care may be shifted to mainstream medical providers...

One of the delicious ironies of having ACA shoved down our throats...

Karma's a bitch, ain't it, Libs?

PP is an abortion mill. That is their main function, the rest of the services are more of a front than anything else.

That's a lie! Give us some "credible" proof. However, what difference would it make - since public taxpayer money can't be used for abortions?

Although the GOP presidential hopeful has been hailed by many in his party as being moderate, he has long supported abortion restrictions in his state.

Ohio Gov. John Kasich (R) on Sunday signed a bill that effectively defunds Planned Parenthood in his state.

The bill strips state and some federal funding from health clinics that perform and promote "nontherapeutic abortions," including Planned Parenthood facilities.

While the bill grants an exemption to abortions performed in cases of rape, incest and preserving the life of the mother, it jeopardizes the fate of other vital women's health programs.

For example, the $1.3 million in state grants that Planned Parenthood is slated to lose was allocated toward HIV testing, cancer screenings and programs that help prevent domestic violence and infant mortality.

In a statement, the organization's president, Cecile Richards, denounced the bill, arguing that it would have "devastating consequences for women across Ohio."

“John Kasich is proudly eliminating care for expectant mothers and newborns; he is leaving thousands without vital STD and HIV testing, slashing a program to fight domestic violence, and cutting access to essential, basic health care," she said.

"It’s clear Kasich has no regard for women’s health or lives, and will stop at nothing to block health care for the tens of thousands of Ohioans who rely on Planned Parenthood,” Richards added.

And Obozocare takes care of everything else, so why does PP need taxpayer funding at all???

They provide over 300,000 abortions per year and they sell body parts of the ones they don't shred in the process.

Good for him. Why is ANY private advocacy group getting federal money?

Why were the banks bailed out, and all the criminals not sent to prison?

A great day for Ohioans.

On the campaign trail Kasich frequently talks about the importance of funding for expecting mothers and newborn babies. A spokesman for Kasich's gubernatorial office, Joe Andrews, said in a statement the new Ohio law is consistent with those views.

"The Ohio Department of Health has at least 150 other sub-grantees and contractors for the affected grants and projects addressing such issues as new born babies, infant mortality, expectant mothers, violence against women, and minority HIV/AIDS," the statement said. "ODH will reallocate funding from ineligible providers under the new law to other currently eligible providers, ranging from local health departments and community organizations to hospitals and universities. These organizations will be required to submit proposals in order to receive funding."

Why exactly does the government need to give them money to kill children?
Government money is not used for abortions.

It is used to contribute to Hillary's campaign fund by Planned Parenthood though isn't it? I do realize each dollar in the till is separated and marked "Government money - not to be used for abortions" and "To be used for abortions."

PP is an abortion mill. That is their main function, the rest of the services are more of a front than anything else.

Actually they don't provide other services except for handing out contraceptives. If a woman needs a test or something, they will refer her to a regular doctor or clinic or hospital. That referral can easily be obtained via your own telephone. Planned Parenthood serves no useful purpose and should no receive taxpayer dollars since Obamacare provides for women's health services via conventional providers. We are getting hit for the women's ACA subsidies as well as $540 Million dollars we give to Planned Parenthood which turns around and uses our money to contribute to Hillary Clinton's campaign.

Why exactly does the government need to give them money to kill children?
Abortion is a tiny part of what they do, and even then, it's not "murder." Until pro lifers personally force a women to give birth, I will ignore their lunacy.

My question still remains. Why are ANY (no matter what political stripe) private advocacy groups getting direct taxpayer money?

Why exactly does the government need to give them money to kill children?

That's against the law! Please provide "credible" proof that the government funds abortions in cases other than rape, incest, or life of woman. Otherwise, stop lying and spreading unchristian gossip.
