I know little about the book but from the descriptions, what we have here is not pornography. Graphic depictions of what sadly happens to kids far too often? Yes. Pornography? No.

Pornography is defined as; printed or visual material containing the explicit description or display of sexual organs or activity, intended to stimulate sexual excitement.
The intent of the author is up to a court to decide if it comes to that. However, in cases of depictions (visual or texual) of under-aged children ... the courts will very heavily consider intent to be stimulation.
Unless you can post a link of him wishing that, you've employed a straw man argument.
