Had to use that for closing and points but managed to secure a 5.75% rate

Bigger house than what I have now for $1000 more a month

Can always refinance when things cool down once democrats are out

Congrats! You made a wise choice. The Texas coastal/ island beach areas are lovely imo! Yeah, there is hurricane worries, but that stops no one in Florida from living near the coast either!

Looks like Texas is on its way to being overcrowded though, just like Florida with those from the North and northeast moving there....Texas seems to be getting an exodus of Californians moving there!
