Nation's largest police union endorses Trump

[

The problem is the FOP is a private entity governed by a smalll...tiny little "grand lodge".

They can do whatever they want, they know it won't cost them members or start a controversy because no one cares...no one is going to say "hey wait a minute...most of FOP's members support Clinton!"

The FOP is not an authoritative or reliable endorsement.

A Union is, because they are highly scrutinized by public on all levels.

You're a hack, and you're stupid.

That said, why would ANY cop in this nation support BLM Hillary?

The answer is, they wouldn't.

Unless Trump does something spectacularly stupid, Hillary is done. If you're too stupid to grasp it - all the better.
I could see police supporting Dems over Reps for the simple fact that the left supports government programs and funding and cops are public servants. Which side is going to provide them and their community with more resources?

It was eye opening when explained to me some of the real reasons unions support democrats instead of Republicans, as was discussed with me (again as a State Senate Candidate) the primary issue between Republican and Dems regarding Unions is that:

Republicans support legislation that effectively remove Unions from the bargaining table at the State level. This means that by voting for republicans Unions are removing themselves from their purpose of representing the labor interest in negotiations with the employer...

There are several ways this happens...mostly through needless legal hurdles for when union members need legal representation.

Well, the DEms are funding gangsters who promote cop killing and hate crimes against whites, not funding more police needs; their idea of 'police funding' is making them sit through ridiculous 'sensitivity training seminars' taught by their cronies, using Federal and state funds to line their pockets.

By contrast, I am sure the BLM "Kill the cops" movement endorses Hillary... and if not, well at least she can endorse them as with Robert Byrd.

The nation’s largest police union on Friday endorsed Donald Trump for president, lauding his commitment to police officers. The Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) gave the GOP presidential nominee its endorsement after he received support from more than two-thirds of the group’s national board.

“He’s made a real commitment to America’s law enforcement and we’re proud to make a commitment to him and his campaign by endorsing his candidacy today.”

With labor groups overwhelmingly behind Clinton, Trump made an aggressive play for support from the police union.

He met with top officials from the FOP at Trump Tower in May, and he has made stops on the campaign trail at the union’s local chapters.

“I’m on your side 1,000 percent,” Trump told an FOP chapter in North Carolina in August. “What you do is incredible.”

The FOP had expressed anger at Trump’s rival, Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, for declining to fill out a questionnaire necessary to win the group’s endorsement.

The group characterized Clinton’s refusal as a snub, and Canterbury referenced it in his statement Friday.

“Obviously this is an unusual election. We have a candidate who declined to seek an endorsement and a candidate without any record as an elected official,” he said.

“Donald Trump may not ever have been elected to public [office] but he is a proven leader and that’s what we need for the next four years — a leader unafraid to make tough choices and see them through.”

Fort Worth police say two officers were shot while responding to a shooting call at a home Friday evening. One officer is in critical condition, and the other has minor injuries, the department says. The call came in at about 8:30 from a home on the 3800 block of Wharton Drive. Police spokesman Officer Marc Povero said the arriving officers found a person in a back bedroom unresponsive from a gunshot wound. They were informed that a witness to the shooting was located in a shed in the backyard, so they went to make contact with that person.

Name the time when being a cop wasn't a dangerous job. Name the year that no cops died in the line of duty. It's always a tragedy when it happens, but how is today different from any other time in our history?

USA Today
Jul 9, 2016 - Dallas ambush pushed police shooting deaths nationally to 26, up from 18 this time last year. ... Guggenheim's gold toilet is open for public useHave you ever ..... The number of police officers shot and killed in the USA is 44% higher than at this time ..... A chaplain, right, talks with a woman before a service ...

Police shootings last year were at an their lowest point since 1959 in 2015.

The number of cops killed while Obama has been in office is substantially lower than during the Bush Administration. Kinda puts the lie to all of the hysteria Trump is hyping up.

This is not to say that having people out gunning for cops isn't a very serious matter that needs to be stopped now, but what is really needed is a way for cops to stop shooting unarmed people. Especially those lying on the ground with their hands up. Because if they don't, this is definitely going to get worse.

Because it's actively encouraged by some, tacitly supported by others, and facilitated by the whole Democratic party.

You notice the surge in police killings since #NiggasLivesMatter became a force that was invited to the White House?
