There are massive costs to illegal immigration and the government hides it from us to prevent the predicted backlash.

Illegal Immigration: Costs, Crimes, & Related Problems (U.S.) - Discover the Networks

Almost 50 percent of federal crimes were committed near the Mexico border. A report from the Department of Justice in 2014 found the following, via Judicial Watch:

32_Illegals-Vote-300x231.jpg.cf.jpg

"Of the 61,529 criminal cases initiated by federal prosecutors last fiscal year, more than 40%—or 24,746—were filed in court districts neighboring the Mexican border. This includes Arizona, New Mexico, Southern California, Western Texas and Southern Texas. The two Texas districts each had more than double the convictions of all four federal court districts in the state of New York combined, according to the DOJ report. The Western Texas District had the nation’s heaviest crime flow, with 6,341 cases filed by the feds. In Southern Texas 6,130 cases were filed, 4,848 in Southern California, 3,889 in New Mexico and 3,538 in Arizona.

Not surprisingly, most of the offenses were immigration related."

I love how illegal border crossing are down something like 80% since Trump took office JUST BECAUSE TRUMP PROMISED TO START ENFORCING FEDERAL LAW.

It's amazing what happens when you just SAY you'll enforce the law.

The left won't touch this, as I can see by the responses and how long it has been on the board. Their narrative can't ever be questioned, because once it is, it all falls apart!

The lid has been blown off the illegal narrative, Obama should be in prison for his role in the crimes illegals have committed against the American people.

They'll wait until there's a lull and then they'll start trolling it and try to land it into either badlands, flame zone, or conspiracy theories.

Those sneaky lying liberals.......

You consider running across the border for a better life to be a "crime " equal to rape or robbery??

More intellectual dishonesty from the right . For shame .

Actually when you have literally thousands of people who don't belong here that have had to steal and commit crimes in their own country to survive, what do you think they're going to do here where the streets are supposedly paved with gold?

Well fucking DUH! Very few crimes are persecuted on a Federal level.

Well fucking DUH! Very few crimes are persecuted on a Federal level.
Illegal immigration is.
I don't see your point though.
Drugs and alcohol, gun-running, human-trafficking, mail fraud. All federal crimes.

The point is that most serious crime is NOT HANDLED BY THE FEDS - assault, battery, larceny, murder. So the statistic is completely pointless except as bullshit politico point scoring.

And I'm sure Chinese and South American human trafficking is of big concern to you.

Oh really??:disbelief:

Numerous federal agencies have been granted powers to investigate federal offenses, including the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Internal Revenue Service, and the Secret Service.

Other federal crimes include mail fraud, aircraft hijacking, carjacking, kidnapping, bank robbery, child pornography, credit card fraud, identity theft, computer crimes, violations of federal hate crimes, violations of the Federal Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), obscenity, tax evasion, counterfeiting, violations of the Espionage Act, violations of the Patriot Act, illegal wiretapping, art theft from a museum,[1] damaging or destroying public mailboxes, immigration offenses, and since 1965 in the aftermath of the President John F. Kennedy's assassination, assassinating the President

Lol dumbass I did not say "not serious", what I said was "most serious crime is not handled by the Feds" and I am 100% correct. Feds taking on a case is a rarity compared to what is persecuted on state level.

What backlash? I'm not sure I understand your argument. Should the Fed spend less on pursuing undocumented aliens?
Exactly. What backlash!!!

The feds are hiding the true costs of not only enforcement but processing and care of illegals. Nevermind the crime that goes along with drug traffickers and other related issues. Then there's the millions that have been put on Obamacare and on welfare.

They're hidden but you found them? What "backlash" do you want? More money spent on fighting illegal immigration?

Up till now the federal government doesn't make it easy for anyone to find out exactly how much Illegal Immigration is costing us. You folks bellyache about how much Trump is cutting from Meals on Wheels but the fact is Democrats are bringing in millions of people to soak up all of our benefits. You know.....benefits like Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, and everything else. How much did Obama spend bringing Syrian refugees here last year? How much did he spend to get them registered to vote?
Refugee Resettlement Fact Sheet

Refugees, successful asylum seekers, trafficking victim visa holders, “Cuban-Haitian Entrants” (which are mostly Cuban), S.I.V’s (for Iraqis and Afghanis) and other smaller humanitarian admission groups are eligible for ALL federal, state and local welfare programs 30 days after arrival.

Refugee access to welfare on the same basis as a U.S. citizen has made the program a global magnet.

The federal programs available to them include:

∙ Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) formerly known as AFDC
∙ Medicaid
∙ Food Stamps
∙ Public Housing
∙ Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
∙ Social Security Disability Insurance
∙ Administration on Developmental Disabilities (ADD) (direct services only)
∙ Child Care and Development Fund
∙ Independent Living Program
∙ Job Opportunities for Low Income Individuals (JOLI)
∙ Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
∙ Postsecondary Education Loans and Grants
∙ Refugee Assistance Programs
∙ Title IV Foster Care and Adoption Assistance Payments (if parents are ⌠qualified immigrants – refugees, asylees, etc)
∙ Title XX Social Services Block Grant Funds
