Virginia poll numbers tend to be a bit elastic. I think in the last governor's contest the democratic winner underperformed his polling numbers, especially with women. Since there is no party affiliation with registration, it makes it a bit more tricky to get the right demographic mix in the sample as a lot more people call themselves "independents" than actually are independents.
