American have little to fear from refugees. What people should be concerned about are illegal immigrants. Screening occurs in the refugee program. Migrants have to be accepted first. I have no idea what screening ICE does, probably little or nothing.

People do not realize how quickly the virus ebola can overwhelm a health care system that is already burdened.

It requires such extensive expenditure of resources that just a few cases can overwhelm a system not to mention a eipidemic of cases.

There's no permanent place to put them. There are about 50 million of them. The lucky ones are in government refugee camps. There they get food and shelter however there are very few jobs so many people can't earn enough money to leave. At the camps they spend a lot of time applying for immigration, asylum, or refugee status. Many camps have time limits that limit stays. Thus, they move from camp to camp. About a million of them are stateless which makes them persona non grata in most countries.
