Police want their municipal government to support them and not take any actions against police acused of crimes PRIOR to investigations being completed.

Police want lawsuit protections similar to Good Samaritan laws.

Police want State and Local government to keep violent criminals behind bars awaiting trial instead of simply releasing the criminal the next day.

I could go on and on but the point is clear that your ignorance of what the Police want demonstrates what a cretin you are.

No one can say presicely what the future holds but first accept that the police do practically nothing to prevent crime. They show up after the fact, file a report and then forget all about you. Unless the suspect is still right there they do practically nothing to catch them. All they really do is feed a steady supply of repeat offenders to the prison industry.
